Managed to get over 3000 nagoya attacks so far in a stage, loving the scoring system you play a very different game if you aim to score points. Reminds me a lot of Slivergun as it has a thinking element to it if you aim for the top score.

Well pleased at the moment as I managed to get the rank 1 score for bonus stage 2 on Xbox live leaderboards, don't know how long it will last but I'll enjoy it while I can.

Haven't heard any sound problems with the 360 version but then I don't play in 5.1 surround. It wouldn't surprise me if the 5.1 surround is broken as very few publishers and developers test or have the setup to test 5.1 surround as the industry is still very amateurish when it comes to testing games. Mind you I did have to redownload the game as after buying it the trial refused to upgrade to the full game.

I think it was a download problem that was causing the sound errors. I deleted the game and re-downloaded it and all is fine now. Actually, this is thefirst time I've ever had an audio problem with a 360 game. Everything so far is fine in 5.1. Even play my Saturn and DC in 5.1 although very few games actually have anything coming from the back speekers.

I don't think it's a glitch but the sound effects are awful in the 360 demo. The explosions are all hiss and distorted sounding. It really grates my ears, is this the it's supposed to sound!?

Surely not, that is too good to be true...
Note that it's not quite what it sounds like. It does generate a level based on whatever tune you select off your hard disk, but there's nothing recognisably synched to the music beyond a couple of background pulsing effects I've seen. I think busier music does get busier levels, though, and the generated levels can be recognisably very different from track to track. It's still a neat way of extending the life of the game.

Really pleased I caved and bought it. Got into the 2.5D levels and it is utterly insane at this point - there should be some super-secret trophy for finishing the game using solely the default weapon, since I cannot see how it's possible with anything except lockon or... the sweeping beams (forget the name). Still fun trying, though.

Bought this over the weekend soley to take advantage of Microsoft's October 'Spend 2400 points, get 800 back' offer and am pleased I went with this as it's brilliant. Looks gorgeous with it's muted colours and clean lines and the enemy and level design is saturated in style and intelligence. Thankfully it's a joy to play too and quite tactical thanks to it's wide choice of weapons. Music's probably the best element though; real stompy techno/trance with bags of character and bags of energy.

My only gripe is the audio breaks up (in 5.1) when shooting a lot of enemies. It doesn't happen in Stereo and though deleting and redownloading the game initially fixed the problem, it soon raised it's head again.

Is this title significantly different on PSN to the iOS version.....new levels etc?

I've only played a little of the XBLA game compared to the iPhone game, but the main difference is the 16:9 aspect ratio instead of the 3:4 ratio. As far as I can tell in my limited playtime, they basically had to redesign elements to suit this. There are levels labelled as "extra" and DLC though. Both of which I haven't tried so can't comment on I'm afraid,

Been playing the Xbox version today, seems there is a stage four and five (and possibly more...) that aren't included in the iPhone version. Its getting hard and I've still got no achievements. There's now 3D effects too.

I'll add that this game really isn't designed around an arcade stick - the sensitivity is all wrong. Its a great game though. So much content.

Only just got the PSN version a few days back, sure it's cool but compared to the iOS version, it blows, you need finger control and a vertical screen.

I still experience the audio glitch playing this. I've deleted the game and redownloaded it, cleared the HDD cache, adjusted settings on my amp and done everything I can think of, to no avail. It keeps me from returning to it which is a shame as it's a very cool little game.

Think I'll pick this up eventually. I was put off with taito's dlc policy.
