At least you have Brann football club to enjoy.....

It's on the XBL site in Norway, if you have a 360 too.

It came on the PSN last thursday, a week after UK. Looks promising, but would like to try out a "true" rally track. So far it feels very Americanish.

capcom_suicide: SK Brann? I fart in your general direction! Nah I have nothing against them, but they're not my team of choice.

So downloaded this after hearing good things and its turd. This isn't Colin McRae. This is some American turd that is just Grid on dirt. I always loved this series, as racing against the clock and sections was amazing fun, and you would push yourself and feel rewarded. This is crap. What a waste of 900Mb.

I think calling the crap because it is not all rally based is rather harsh. It would be like ordering Chinese food, eating it and then calling it crap beacuse it's not Indian. The name of the game is Colin McRae Dirt not Colin McRae Rally. It's a quality game (reviews so far reflect that) but I guess most will snub it because it is not a straight up rally game anymore.

Anyone know if the PS3 version has been optimised in anyway for Logitech G25 wheels?

If not, I am getting PC.

Haha. I was similarly frustrated. I'm still getting it as I'm sure I'll squeeze some enjoyment out of most of the events if I give it some time but its hard not to be annoyed that all that money and talent was spent on a game for teenagers and not something worthy of its namesake.

Not really. To me the game is still called Colin Mcrae. Drop the name than. If it was just DiRT 2 i wouldn't complain. But i honestly thought it was like the rest. Shame.

And i know i will snub it because of that reason. I dont know, but i was honestly expecting a rally sim. It may well be a good game, but its not for me. I will just wait for GT5. I want a sim.

Super Monkey Balls, is right. To me its not a McRae game. It is a game designed for American Teenagers.

the moment that summed this game up perfectly for me is when you are racing in the buggy things and some moronic sounding 'dude' comes on over your radio shouting 'hey why is everybody so quiet ?'

maybe because I'm not some vapid american air head who regards whooping and hollering and noise as a genuine replacement for excitement.

personally I couldn't care less for McRae or not but the presentation direction its gone it actually irritates me so much I won't buy it, which is a shame as the racing bit is OK.

I am not an American teenager and enjoyed the demo for what it was.

Fair enough though, as you said it's not for you. Like I said most people will probably snub it purely based on the fact that it is not a pure rally game.

Most people also seem to be hating on the presentation, I don't think there is anything truly wrong with it. Personally I didn't really enjoy the lifeless/dry Colin McRare Rally games; Dirt has loads more "personality" and feels more "alive" which suits the direction the game has taken.

Loved the demo and look forward to getting my hands on it next week.
