Batman: Arkham Asylum [360/PS3/PC]

Sometimes I wish that when you jumped off a ledge, Batman actually jumped.

He kinda just "runs" of the ledge and starts gliding, whereas I want him to LEAP off the ledge and glide, getting that extra momentum.

rmoxon I think you are going to have to accept that not everyone is going to love the game the way you do, just like I can accept you don't like Bioshock the way I do.

Anyway Batman only jumps off a ledge if there is another ledge you can jump on too, just like in games like Zelda and Assasins Creed, if he dosnet jump then theres nothing to jump too. there are quite a few platform sections though, it makes you wonder why they didnt use include a jump button.

They had no room for an extra jump button, they used everything else up. Im sure some people already have complications with the controls. The only problem i had with the controls is i kept pressing the Right trigger to draw the batarang out instead of the left. Don't know why.

Ive noticed after a quick check of a guide that its not popping the riddler puzzles in a couple of places so dunno how your susposed to look for something that you dont know about?!

they actually breathe. You can see their chest rising and falling!

Ive noticed after a quick check of a guide that its not popping the riddler puzzles in a couple of places so dunno how your susposed to look for something that you dont know about?!

Once you get the secrets map for the area you are in then you can see exactly where each of the Riddler puzzels are, I havent had one I couldnt find yet after spending time looking for them, though obviously some are really hard to see.

The only tricky one i came across was the one next to Arkham Mansion. Other than that, I found them all preety easily.

Yep I know that. Problem is its susposed to give you a riddle and it aint for some of em. Some of the areas are big and if you dont get a clue your going to spend ages scanning everything especially as some of them you either have to zoom in or align. Its supsosed to pop up in a area to remind you so it definetly needs a patchy.

How do you mask your feelings without losing control?
That one you know to look for a mask

If their not popping up you just dont know what you have missed or where it is or even what it is thats the whole point of a riddle so you can solve it with his cryptic clue not spend 2hours scanning a load of rooms in that area.

The find the ? I aint bothered about I get em when I see em thats it can take or leave them but the Riddles I feel are part of the game as they show up telling you to solve something in that area makes it more intresting but pointless to do if its borked.

Dazzy, i think the riddle clues come in if you have already solved one there. I'm not sure though. But you can check the status and the clues for them in the riddle challenges section. Even shows you the section of the map they are in. It really helped me track down the last remaining after i finished the game.

The only time i have had the problem you mention is when there is more than one riddle in the room, you solve the one that comes up onscreen but there is another one that dosent pop up.

HOWEVER all you need to do is look at the list of Riddler challenges on the select screen and all the ones that are in the room you are in will be highlighted in a pulsating fashion.

Not in riddler box in menu or main game with a riddle. Just had another one do exactly the same. Their was 2 in one area I got one fine got given a hint easy enough then nothing for the other one (as IM checking em with a guide). Checked the Riddler box again incase and even reset the machine and loaded back up and nope nothing theirs just zero info on the riddle box it should pop up with him saying what the riddle is but its just a ? thats it no info.

Hope its just the mansion section this is borked with as Ive been fine on all the other areas Ive been REALLY enjoying figuring em out as well.

As for the Riddler challenges, I didn't have any problems with them at all. They are definitely not broken or "borked", I completed all 240 without any problems. I also really enjoyed solving them.

I do have to agree with some of you regarding a jump button but the "hold A" system they have now works well anyway. It isn't perfect but that is mostly down to the player initially wanting to hammering A to jump at times, it's a natural reaction. I did it when I got started with the game but soon got into the "holding A" routine and actually found it adds a little fluidity to the game.

I always suprised he kept doing it, you'd think he would just squiggle something on seeing as you are blowing it in up in a few seconds. Looked preety naff acually, thank god batman isn't a grafitti artist. Now you know really why he takes up crime fighting, hes shamed of his artistic skills.

What is it with people on here? Its not working for ME hence having to use a guide. You would think your crucifying Jesus sometimes on here when you have an issue with a game and talk about it if others like it. Can we get this straight please I love the game but at moment Im having some issues with it being borked on the riddler puzzles on mansion. ITs been fine for the rest of the game up to this point but now Ive had 3 blanked out. I could understand one of em from looking at the guide if it was because I need a addon what I aint got but that ones popped fine but the 3 have been plain sight what Ive walked past having done the other challenges in that area.

Never had an issue with any others in any other area they pop fine but at the moment for ME their borked.
