Another minor complaint that Ish has just reminded me of.

The inverted take down is AMAZING, but I've only found situations where I can do it about 4 times!

Thoroughly enjoying this so far - I reckon I must be just over half way through.

I really enjoy the combat, despite the simplicity, and it reminds me a bit of the burly brawl sequence in the Matrix Reloaded. Excellent stuff.

I must have used it on nearly every Gargoyle! In fact in the bit where

the Joker places explosives on the gargoyles

I found myself lost for a minute or two.

I was annoyed with myself as early in the game I hadn't realised you could

"reuse" gargoyles by batarang-ing the dudes down who you'd already strung up

        .

Finished this awesome game today with about 40 riddler puzzles left, definitely going back into it to solve them.

Overall, definitely one of the best games this generation 360 for me, up there with Dead Space and Mirrors Edge for surprising me by how good it really is.

There's one particular section where I thought

My Xbox had another RROD, the graphical corruption, scarecrow insanity effect done it so well, it had me panicked.

lol Why? Because an aspect you thought good he found dumb? If he found it dumb then he found it dumb; and it's as simple as that. Ridiculing somebody for not feeling the same way about something as you is, well... it's ridiculous.

I don't know why, but I started on hard without ever touching the demo or normal difficulty. Yeah, it's hard. Still enjoying it though - I'm only at 2% complete however.

Sorry if it's been covered before but I've just finished the game, does the Continue Story option just let you wander around collecting stuff? I was planning on going through on Hard but it looks like I'll have to start a brand new save so I'll lose the collectables that I already have.

Started enjoying this due mostly to a really good stealth section and return of

Scarecrow, but then that god awful bit in the sewer came along and I had to turn it off. Its made me realise how good the rest of the game is in comparison tho

                      Just finished it.

Great game, spoilt by some filler (especially towards the end) and unimaginative boss encounters. It felt like the game should've had one more villain rather than to-ing and fro-ing underneath Arkham, one with a really creative boss encounter.

Loved the fighting mechanics and the level design, only bit of design I hated was the second pump station. 6-7 inmates, all armed, all with alarm collars and you can't hide on the gargoyles. I was getting incredibly frustrated dying endlessly until eventually I just stopped trying to be stealthy Killed the two outside the controls with stealth than hid round a corner and killed them one by one as they came to investigate. Horribly frustrating but I suppose it did force an alternate playstyle.

I think 8/10 suits it well, it's a great game with some minor issues that prevent it being a definite classic.

I'm getting a bit frustrated, Ive found most of the riddler challenges easy enough but I'm in the west section of the hub, I think I have about one more set of false teeth to destroy and I cant find it for the life of me. i keep hearing it clicking when im never the turned over ambulence, but i just cant see it anywhere. Annoying the hell out of me.

                        Anyway...

I found that bit hard too until I discovered an easy way. If youre quick you can run stright forward and silent take down a guy that walks infront of you, then there are two guys imediatley to your left that you can hand to hand fight. You then zip up high to the far left hand side of the room and turn around, the guys rush over to see what youve done, if your quick you can pull one or two of them over the railings that are across from you with your grapeling hook. If you then wait the rest of the guys all eventualy cross those same railings so you can pull them off one by one.... Simple really....

rmoxon, I did that part in pretty much the same way as you described above. Freaky! It was rather challenging but in a "hmm how can I do this?" way rather than being all out frustrating. Just wait til you do the stealth challenge room based on that part, some of the requirements for the medals are well tricky.

That Perfect Freeflow Combo achievement sounds hard as hell. I can do most of the moves, its just getting the timing right on them. Worried about using the batclaw at the right moment.

Also wondering how you do standing takedowns in combat too, as its one of the moves you need to pull off.

I tried the demo of this last night and found it to be a rather humdrum affair, how much are the positive opinions being influenced by people's love of Batman? I'm a Batman fan, not a Batman geek, but I do like the idea of having a modern non-movie licensed game.

I didn't enjoy how automatic the grappling hook bits are.. didn't really feel like I was doing it myself, the UI is too obvious and took me out of the experience somewhat.

The Demo isnt relaly a great represtation of the game, Judging by the demo youd think all you will be doing is hitting people and swinging on Gargoyles... but theres so much more too it than that. The action is varied, thanks to the ammount of gadgets Batman eventualy has at his disposal and you can tackle areas however you liek really. There is also the 250 Riddler challenges to solve, that wernt even shown in the demo.

Yes the presentation is fantastic, and yes it uses the Batman licence suprbly, but the gameplay and the amazing Metroid style level design (which again wasnt even hinted at in the demo), are the best things about it.

                                Its a brilliant game.
