This game is ****ing brilliant, absolutely love it. Up there with Demon Souls and FEAR 2 as my personal favourites this year.

    Just did a part where:

I was fighting about 20 goons and was in an area with separate floor sections which became electrified at different times. Just the ass kicking, moving to a different floor section and then more ass kicking in such a fluid way was a joy. Counter after counter, punch after punch, superb

    You ARE the goddamn Batman

Nice to see you are enjoying it mr_woo. I see you have just done the section with

Harley Quinn and her goons which should mean you have experienced quite a few of the Scarecrow sections

. What did you think of them?

Been playing some of the challenge rooms today and they are really good too. I am not very good at the "brawler" ones but I am decent enough at the stealth ones. Infact I think I am ranked 11th or 10th in the first stealth room. It's really cool actually, the way you have to work out how to take out all guys in the quickest time possible.

I think I am also going to go back into my completed game this week and try to complete all of Riddler's challenges, should be fun.

Is there much incentive to replay the main game again ezee?

Definitely! I reckon I will give it a go on hard after I complete all the Riddler challenges, just to experience the brilliance again.

I have to say that I also love the

crazy lunatic bastards that charge at you out of nowhere. I don't know about you but I ****e myself more than once when they popped out from the ceiling! Gits

            Currently at

the Botanical Gardens and fighting the two titans

There is even better section with

              Scarecrow

a bit further on which is absolutely mind blowing, not sure if you have done that yet. It will leave you confused and baffled for a moment or two but then you will have the widest grin on your face, almost like the Joker does!

How long did it take you to complete Steve? Just wanted to get a couple of peoples completion lengths so I have an idea how long it is on average.

About fourteen hours. US copy from a guy on Ebay (Sold it here, yesterday). Along with Demon Souls, the best thing so far this year - just blew me away with how much more it was than the demo led me to believe. You have a hell of a treat coming.....

Are you talking about the bit when

you have three flashlights and are fighting monsters in between the flashlights going on or is there something even more awesome I've got to look forward too ? Currently I'm just up to entering Killer Crocs layer with him pulling Scarecrow into the water

The game has really surprised me in the way it mixes things up, it's just brilliant.

                      Another thing I love is

the way Batman seems to be a bit like John McClane, he's getting more roughed up as he goes along. I've noticed my cape getting more ripped and ragged the further I progress. I've now got two rips on the right side of my cape too. It's cool as hell and such a small attention to detail which is awesome. Does he get progressively worse wear and tear or is that more or less it ?

Another bit that caught me by the wayside was:

when I entered a room full of gargoyles but they had put explosives on them so they'd explode as soon as you landed on them. I was forced to change my routine of Inverted takedowns and be more creative. I'm glad they did as I was doing kick ass ducking and diving, hiding under the floor, jumping out and doing silent takedowns, using the batarang etc. Just plain awesome

Fantastic game and one of the most polished experiences I've played this year. Up their with Demon Souls and FEAR 2 as my personal favourites this year.

I'm glad to see Rocksteady do so well, they created a really fun, underrated game with Urban Chaos: Riot Response and they've just done even better with this.

I was torn too - went with 360 in the end after playing the demos. 360 games look better on my TV due to VGA output though I am a bit miffed about missing out on the Joker challege rooms which are exclusive to PS3 (not a massive thing though). I'm sure at least one review has mentioned the 360 version looks slightly better but the difference is miniscule.

If the DLC appeals to you, and I think it's free, go with PS3 but either way I don't think there's a lot in it from what I can gather.

Ah no, not that bit. It is a bit further on from that I think, you will know what I talking about when you get there. Seems like steve knows what I am on about from his reaction.

                          As for the

wear and tear as you progress

                          , yes that is fantastic.

His suit, cape and face show are well messed up by the end of the game

. After all it is supposed to be the longest night of his life!

Ooo that part you mention with

                          bombs attached to the gargoyles

, another superb addition. It took me by surprise at first but

as you say it makes you re-evaluate the way go about completing the stealth sections

                          . Superb!

Nice one ezee, looking forward to it

How much would you say I've got left to go, in terms of pure storyline stuff to play through ?

I can't find any indicator of the length of time I've spent playing, only a percentage and am just wondering how much of the storyline I've got through.

You have got a few hours to go yet, it gets really good too so you're in for a treat!

                              Just remembered another

                              Scarecrow

                              section. Have been inside

                              Arkham mansion yet

? If so, what did you think of

the part where you just enter a room and you see "Wayne Manor" come up on screen? You walk through the "alley" where your parents were shot as little Bruce!

I though that was so amazingly done, really good!

Oh also can't forget the whole

                              parents in the bodybags part!
