I'm going through this too atm. Just got to this bit where I'm supposed to be going after Poison Ivy.

It's been a really enjoyable game so far.

All the sentiments expressed above by hush are echoed by myself.

I'm only 14% into it but I just effing love this game! All of the concerns about linearity and simplified controls are somewhat justified, but it just feels soooooo good.

The one thing that really pees me off is the autosaving, which I have no problem with except that, as far as I'm concerned, the checkpoints are not close enough together.

On an achievement run currently. I think the Riddler challenges are actually very well balanced. They're just fun enough and just difficult enough to find. The maps mean that it never becomes a tedious slog like the hidden orbs in Crackdown or the landmarks in Prototype.

Once you find the riddle maps scattered about and have a fully gadgeted-up Bats, finding all the riddles is pretty much a piece of cake, there're only three or four that are truly buggerish to achieve. I managed to get them all before finishing the game, it's nice the way you can do all your backtracking before you undertake the final mission.

I think getting all the achievements might be a bit of a ballache, but if you're going for all achievements, then on the stage entitled

'The Party' there's a bit where you walk into the Visitors Centre and there are loads of goons waiting in the corridor wearing party garb. They won't attack you at all unless you attack one of them (and then it's all-in!), but if you decide to attack one then you can get an achievement for winning the fight - you can't get it, otherwise.

I have to say I was quite impressed with the game, particularly the graphics (WOW!) Only thing I wasn't a great fan of was the stealth, I found it much fiddlier than Splinter Cell - I hope if they make a sequel, they tighten this aspect up.

The stealth was a bit annoying, but it was a small price for such a great game. And they are making a sequel which should be fantastic, considering how good the first one was.

I actually read about it in an achievement guide, but I wouldn't have wanted to miss it, so thanks for pointing it out. Got it last night. Not sure if I'm going to go after all the combat challenges ? I'm not very good at the combat. :/

I rebought this recently (thanks Blair) as Darksiders got me in the mood for more of this sort of stuff (puzzles, combat, finding stuff). Just finshed my second playthrough (on Hard this time) and have to say I enjoyed it just as much as the first time I went through it.

I think the developers are to be commended for doing such a good job with the licence. I'm a bit of a DC comics nut and loved the touches that are in this.

Just got awarded Best Game of 2009 at the BAFTAs as well.

I just noticed that this game is being released again as a GOTY type affair and in 3D..........

Could be interesting in 3D actually.........

Not convinced about 3D gaming. Can see it giving massive eye strain, especially given the tendency for games to be far darker than the levels of light you see in movies.

3D effects are rubbish and it gave me a headache, but it has a full 1000G to collect and saves from the original aren't compatible. Same achievements mind.

I really can't decide...I'm tempted to rebuy this for the GotY stuff and 3D!

                                Any advice?
