    Wet 360/PS3

So far I'm 7 missions into this out of 12, snapped it up at ?17.95 from zavvi and really enjoying it. Just found out the wee plot twist and I'm impressed by that also, the story has ran along very nicely with nice voice work from Eliza Dushku and Malcom McDowell, the action is always good fun with every level, slashing and comboing away.
When you get new weapon you are taken to Rubis trailer to run around in a challenge mode. Get the best times on these training grounds and the more you play around on that the better you get to grips with the controls. Some seriously crazy moments in this game too, one involving a cool scene that reminded me of MDK, end of that level was priceless.
Only gripe I have found is the slow mo, it only triggers when you slide or jump, sometimes you are not in the position to do either so whilst getting shot at this can get annoying if your in an odd space.
360 version the game is 1000g single player only, may require couple of play throughs for full 1000g we shall see, doesnt look too bad to fully finish though.
They should stick with this, the character of Rubi is cool and the style and presentation of the game is very very well done, think it may be let down with only having a few moves for character and similar gameplay througout. Then again I'm really enjoying it, it does what it does with a very unique style and presentation.

It's not going to win and GOTY awards, it's certainly not the prettiest next gen game and any plot it has is paper thin. But having just clocked it, I can say I enjoyed the game from start to finish. There are some frustrating moments and the gameplay may get a repetitive for some, but on the whole it plays quite well and provides lots of mindless fun.

I loved the car chase and rage sequences, the quick time events in the former didn't really phase me, got the hang of them quite quickly and they seem to be quite lenient with the input times. The second car chase was particularly impressive, it felt like I was playing through

Go With The Flow by Queens Of The Stone Age.

Have to agree, thought the style and presentation were excellent and the music suited the game perfectly. I'd certainly like to see Rubi appear in another game but I get the feeling the game is going to get overlooked so I don't see a sequel appearing anytime soon if ever.

The game is quite short at just over 10 hours long, so it's a quick rental or an easy trade. It's simple and mindless but ultimately alot of fun if it's your kind of thing.

Picked this up yesterday with the mindset that if it's poor I could return it for ODST but so far I am rather enjoying it. Swinging around a pole while shooting people in the face, diving off still shooting before landing in a slide (still shooting) before finishing with a sword slice to some poor thugs groin is rather cool!

As has been stated; looks a bit early next-gen and there are a few grrr moments with the controls but it is very stylish and well presented.

Played for about 2 hours and on mission 5 so will probably finish it tomorrow but, yeah, good fun.

Pretty much my own opinion having played it for a few hours. It's pretty simple, but it's damn good mindless fun. I can see it doing better at a lower price (and it'll almost certainly get dropped in price pretty quickly, I paid 35 for it in GAME today which is already down on the RRP and with it being painfully sandwiched between Batman and Halo in the market it won't hold shelf space for long).

It's certainly a lot better than I'd been expecting from it, sometimes mindless is good!

Desperate for a single player game I watched the Giantbomb "quick look" of this, instantly bought it.

It's surprisingly good! I'm enjoying the arena's hugely!

Hopefully it's not too long, games like this shouldn't outstay their welcome!

Notch up someone else enjoying this, me. I'm finding it strangely additctive and loved the challenge section in the airfield. I'm also not sure why people are saying the graphics are bad. They have obviously been designed with a certain look and I think it works quite well, some of the levels look particularly good.

If you play it how it's meant to be played, score combos, always moving it's pretty good and it's one of the ony recent games I've wanted to keep replaying to improve my scores. Love the voice acting and the characters as well.

As others above have mentioned the arena's are excellent.

Think it's had an overly bad press (in my opinion).

Really REALLY enjoying this. Love the characters, love the combat.

Only annoying thing so far was level

6, where you had to fall through the parts of the plane, I must have failed that 15 times! Loved the cut scene at the end though : "Here's your f*cking book".

              Great stuff!

Love how there are some short levels, this game is looking like a real sleeper hit for me, just the right length so far!

Sounds great. Spatial, I am not impressed!

I found on the demo that sometimes the camera flew around so much I ended up jumping in random directions. Is this still a problem?

I can honestly say that I'm on level 7 now and I've not had any camera issues whatsoever! EDIT: Actually, I've just got what you mean. I've died a few times from that, not a camera issue though in my book, a controls one. You try to slow-mo jump back but you go the wrong way and fall off a ledge. Not that bad though, not at all!

It's not perfect, don't get me wrong, it could have done with a little more polish, but I was after a no-brains single player game and this delivers for me.

Bah. I should stop reloading the damn thread; I really, really want to head into town and pick this up now. Perhaps I'll trade in Arkham Asylum.

Dude! I was on the verge of doing this yesterday. I 100%'ed AA (well not entirely, have to complete some challenges... but i'm sick of that mode) and I am constantly thinking of picking WET up. I even enjoyed Stranglehold, and thought the WET demo was kind of better than that.

I ended up keeping AA and buy Shift for a discount though... but I still want WET. I'm in doubt.. waiting for a quick price drop or trading in AA now...

I think that by Oct, i'm about to invest most of my gaming time in NGS2, FIFA and Uncharted...

This to me is like a dirty mistress....

I know I should stop playing with her but it just feels so good when the two of us are together.

Just finished the game. The demo left me quite meh, but I really really enjoyed the full game. Brainless game to take up an empty weekend (thanks to no early Halo for me), I would recommend it.

Playing through on Golden Bullets mode now. Feels strange as auto-aim during slow-mo tends to take out enemies before you've noticed them. Not that I'm complaining, Rubi's health gets hammered quite quickly on this difficulty.

Any one else who's finished the game think that the

arena fight with the appalling singer and band was a homage to Kill Bill?

                            Or is it just me?

I think a lot of the game was a homage to the film.

Especially the rage mode, with the sirens and everything.
