up to world 3 and its everything you could ask for in a Mario 2d platformer, pure magic and its not easy, getting quite tough, really shows LBP up for the very average attempt at a platform game it is.

buying some of the skill videos and they show how the game exists on a level I just can't play it at, its supreme stuff.

So far i've really enjoyed nsmb wii. World 5 has really clicked for me - previous worlds were fine, but didn't quite have the magic - and it's like playing SMW all over again

God damn this is all what I expected it to be and my expectations weren't low whatsoever.

Played about 5 hours round a mates house last night, non stop two player co-op action and, to use a horrible internet saying, I almost pissed myself laughing, literally.

Got to about the middle of world 5 which is where the difficulty was really digging in and I'm in love. I can't believe Nintendo have made a game for both audiences, they've truly done it this time!

Agreed. Me and the misses have had right a laugh tonight on this. She is probably one of the crappiest mario-players in the world, dying all over the place, but we were having such a giggle it really didn't matter. It's such a great touch being able to carry the other player around (also leads to some down-right evilness! *insert evil laugh*).

I personally think this can get bloody tricky later on (and watching those skill videos shows how much room there is to become the ultimate master). A truly 'hardcore' experience in my opinion, yet accessible and fun enough for someone like my other half to enjoy. The perfect balance... Just shows that Nintendo tend to know what we want more then we do ourselves!

absolutely love this though am finding it really tough, just been offered super guide early on in the 3rd world, I reaaly struggle with an early level with loads of those Bullet Bills being fired, I can't resist going for the difficult gold coins and keep paying the price.

just spent 45mins on this and basically gone in a circle as died and got put back a couple of levels using a continue.

I love how they've made this both accesible and difficult at the same time.

Had some great laughs on this last night at a mates house. We got in some four player action and it was absolutely hilarious, so much fun. I think we are gonna have four player sessions on this, love it.

                After

finding a warp to World 6 in World 4

I spent some time there, but later returned to World 4 to complete it...oh, how I was happy after the fourth Fortress! I started jumping up and down on my chair like a little kid and the encounter at the end of the level was delightful...I just hope that Bowser won't let me down with the final showdown when I reach him.

I've been feeling that too... Getting all giggly with that wonderful childish enthusiasm. I've been absolutely addicted to collecting those three gold coins, some of them are real buggers to get yet so, so fulfilling when achieved. This really is classic Mario, simply superb.

My older brother and I used to wish we could play Super Mario World together back then, so i'm very excited indeedy to play this with him. I'm sure that, even though i'm in my twenties (admittedly i'm only 22!) and my brother is approaching 30, we'd be whisked back to our younger years with stupidly simple smiles slapped on our faces

that kid all over again feeling is unique to Nintendo titles, other companies produce top titles but no other company generates this fun factor for me (though Plants v Zombies shows many Nintendo qualities).

absolutely fantastic game and not a gun or space marine to be seen.

can't wait to try the multiplayer, shame there is no online co-op.

Put in a solid good 3 hours or so to get from World 5 to World 8 and finish it and I loved every second of it, even the moments were I was getting destroyed.

A genuinely top quality Mario game, definitely the love child of Mario 3 and World and a game which excites me in finding all the coins to see what comes after, which is probably no real secret anymore.

How many times did I say "They're back!!" with both fear excitement about enemy types. What a game, definitely a nostalgia piece and the game we all wanted from Nintendo.

The sheer awesomeness of this and Mario Galaxy make me even more excited about the new Zelda, as Nintendo are clearly on form when it comes to bringing our favourite and beloved franchises to Nintendo's little machine.

As for Mario, this is sublime. I got the the very end castle but decided to completely restart because I had one of those Help Block thingys pop up! As Shiggy himself has said in a recent interview/Iwata Asks (a really good read), i felt so ashamed with myself i simply had to start afresh.

I love how challenging this game is on solo, yet how chaotically manic it can become on multiplayer. I can't help but wish for a couple of alterations, but as it rests.... this is classic Mario yet simply more refined. This is going to keep me more then busy until Galaxy 2

                            Just completed the game

and took a shoot at the 9th World...I think each section is unlocked by collecting all star coins in the previous eight worlds.

While it's not the best 2D Mario, it certainly is among the best and a complete improvement over NSMB on the DS.
The last showdown with Bowser is absolutely fantastic and the soundtrack recalls the Galaxy tunes...I rescued Peach with a huge grin on my face and I still have to discover all star coins.

I would have preferred larger and more complex world maps and trickier level designs, but this doesn't mean I found the game too easy...I do admit that the green box of shame popped up in a couple of stages. It's only that a lot of warps are incredibly easy to find and the Ghost Houses aren't as deceiving as I hoped...and I did miss something like the Forest of Illusions and the Choco Island from SMW.

I love the way the koopas turn and face the camera and swing their hips when the music does the "wha-a-waaaah!" bits on the first world

All important question: Does NSMBW force your Wii to update to System Menu 4.2?
