Yeah i'm sure, I doubled checked the totals, and you lose out unless you wait at the end of every room... which is a bit annoying really

Hey CJH, thats a really cool pic you did of Vanessa! Yeah, i too have a great deal of respect and time for P.N.03. I bought the game when it first released in Japan and had great fun unlocking all the suits and trying to get combos and room perfects etc.
Just the other week i finally got the US version so i can finally fully understand the story!!
It is a real shame that Capcom seems to have abandoned this game, and all hope for a sequel is lost i thinkThere is so much that could be done with a sequel, in fact it really upsets me that great games like this are often overlooked by gamers and of course if they dont sell too well we dont see a sequel.... I think P.N.03 is becoming a real cult game though now and more and more people seem to be discovering its merits.
ps:Im currently converting a 1/4 scale model kit of Vanessa and i think when its done it might be the only model kit of her in the world!!!

Thanks Space Terrapin! Good idea to create a model kit of Vanessa, I was wondering about trying to make one myself, but I'm not sure how to get it started.
With the talk of the d-pad, I can only agree; the energy drives are incredibly hard to execute. I've had moments were I have completed the sequence for a drive almost three times before the enemy hit me first! It's especially bad when your trying desperately to get a maxed out combo in a room!
I had the thought that you could hav had the energy drive on an analogue stick, like the C stick... but given that its on the side of the controller with the A button etc... it could prove to difficult.
After all, you could EASILY have the camera on the d-pad instead.
Not that I'm saying the camera is useless... in fact I found it easier to attack one enemy, turn the camera so it faces a second enemy, then once Vanessa has defeated the first, she automatically switches to the visible enemy.

Ok.... failed to get Papillion that time round. I had all of the suits unlocked (incl Blackbird) and their energy drives unlocked, however I hadn't maxed out their stats like Palm shot etc, but I've not seen a website telling me to do that.
I also didnt complete all of the trial missions... I wasn't sure, but some walkthroughs claimed you didn't need to do them all.
I probably missed out... missions 7, 8, 9 and 10s trials.That's probably where I went wrong...
Any other thoughts?

I dont kno if this forum has died a death, but ive managed to unlock papillion!About time too!
I had Blackbird and all other suits unlocked, and all their energy drives unlocked, and I did all of the trials with Professional rank, and an overall professional rank at the end of the game. I think thats all you need for unlocking Papillion.
Its a very challenging suit though, with the one-hit-kill issue! But then its a great way to learn the game even more, plus you get all the energy drives!
And I gotta say, the Papillion certainly is good looking! Well worth the effort!
But now I have to upgrade it! And find some well lit rooms! Lol
