Aliens vs Predator (360, PS3, PC)

I enjoyed playing as the Marine, havent really got into playing as the Pred or Alien as yet.

Play has listed this with 14 Euro now and i am thinking of picking it up. so what is the bottom line - is the game decent enough for an Alien and FPS fan like me or not?

The marine campaign is pretty good, though obviously its short, and the alien is fun to play as but its quite repetative and even shorter still, the Predator parts are not very good at all. The Multiplayer was decent if you are intrested in that part of the game but I doubt many people play it now.

Its worth it if you really have nothing else to play I suppose but its not a patch on the earlier PC games.

thanks, i think this will suffice as i am not too keen on the Alien and Predator campaign anyway.

I thought playing as an alien was really cool, whereas playing against them is a nightmare because they seem really hard to spot and track.

Picked this up for ?6 off ebay. Arriving next week. Do people recommend playing on Hard? Loved the Jag version, never played the PC versions.

Yeah go for Hard mode if you want to make it last a bit longer as it was a breeze on normal. Haven't tried the Nightmare difficulty yet as tbh one playthrough of the game was enough for me.

What does it do? Just make enemies tougher, or change objectives? I watched a video AGES ago, and it showed that the pistol had infinite ammo... Which worried me somewhat. I don't like that kind of thing.

Enemies are definitely tougher and maybe a few more of them to deal with. Ammo may be scarcer.
The pistol has infinite ammo on Normal mode but not sure with Hard...it's pretty weak anyway and you only use it at the start or when you burn through pulse rifle clips too quick and are desperate.
There is the achievement for the Hard run so it might be worth it if you are into that kind of thing.
