    Espgaluda 2 360

I'm a total Espgaluda novice so I don't have the kakusei system quite sussed yet but so far I'm well impressed. Played right through the game (9 credits) just to see it all and unlock the omake mode.
The arcade mode needs the smoothing turned on to look OK and the 360 version looks fantastic. I'm always impressed with what Cave can wring out of their old hardware.
Great art style, quite like Mushi and hints of Takumi style artwork at time as well.
No options for scanlines etc put you can use the blank areas to the sides of the play area to add in other displays showing live scoring, highscore tables and other stuff like what your controller is doing.
As a straight up shooter this is quite challenging and the addition of the kakusei system adds a serious amount of replay value for high score chasers.

Time for another shot I think.

Really enjoying this so far, although its hard to know what mode to play with their being Arcade, 360, Black Label, Arrange and an unlockable Omake mode. There are novice modes for both 360 and Black Label, both of which are really easy, i did them both without losing a life and i'm not good at these games at all. Arcade and 360 mode are pretty difficult i reckon, a lot harder than say Mushi Futari on Original mode. I need to play some Black Label more as i think its going to be my preferred mode, but i need to suss the scoring.

Been playing this a bit so far, only X360 mode, and to me it seems very accurate. This is to a layperson however, who never made it past ST4 boss on the PCB and does not know the exact timings of everything - understand there's already a list of inaccuracies on 2ch but I think popular opinion suggests this is no less accurate than Mushi Futari.

Can see this taking a long time to even go through all of the modes - having arcade, arrange, and black label all available from the offset is crazy. Factor in the included soundtrack CD (yes, even in the normal edition) and this is a great package.

I've only had a brief play too but so far..

+ Loads of game modes. Arcade, 360, Novice, Black, Arrange. A complete package.
+ Thorough tutorial and training modes.
        + Nice Limited Edition.
+ 360 mode looks pretty nice.
+ A brand new AST to listen to at last.

        - No M2 style scanlines for arcade mode.
        - Slowdown not entirely accurate, coupled with the above makes you wonder why Arcade mode is even there.
        - Wallpapers a bit crap compared to Futari. Pretty lame considering Galuda 2 has a ton of gorgeous artwork. My plasma likes the timed wallpaper switching though!

Played with it a bit too. Tested out Black Label, Arcade, Omake and Novice mode, testing out characters and how the scoring/team system works.
Novice mode lives up to its name being easy at the standard difficulty setting, a great thing for those (like me) trying to figure out the system without reading online.
Graphics in the console modes are simply gorgeous, I'm liking them more than MF1.5 or Death Smiles, much more detailed, varied and dynamic.

Glad I went with VGI for this one. Lee did a good job getting stuff here quickly.

                          Really? ****.
I always ask Sidney to mark down at vg+ but could have sworn I'd asked PA in the past and they'd said no.
Thanks mate will email her today about my Ketsui LE.

So for a shmup (well, Cave) novice type what would people recommend, this or Mushi?

Region free info provided by Play-asia. Seems a bit weird though, so anyone able to confirm please?
