About 17 hours play time so far...not touched the single player yet.

I actually had trouble sleeping last night because I kept hearing the motion sensor noise That'll teach me to play before going to sleep heh. I've also been hearing the Bomb planted alarm noise now and again.

The thing im finding most annoying at the moment (in addition to the stuff you guys already mentioned) is when a knife attack does the 'lock on and kill animation' but they don't die! Had that happen to me three times in a row on one guy who then turns around and knifes me first time >_< nearly threw my controller at the TV.

It's only exclusive for a period of time I think. A vehicle that has been hit shows up with a square around it on the radar (or square brackets)
anybody on your team can then use a rocket to home in.

It's the first 2 engineer rockets that you unlock that work.
I'm hoping the snipers even out when more people have unlocked the bigger scopes, currently you have a massive advantage and only another snipers with big scopes can easily find them

thanks Pete, will try this later. but how does it work? do i have to run after my squad members all the time waiting for them to get shot and then offer healing? maybe i catch you later online and can apply as your personal paramedic

I think the medic can see all the health bars of other players, so you can find them and give them health. Also the medic can drop the med kits down anywhere which then show up on the radar/map for team mates so they can find the nearest one to them. You get points for a med kit bring used even if it's 10 minutes since you dropped it

            How?

I get the odd squad points here and there, but 1000 points a round? No chance.

As for healing people, I unlocked the health pack last night but I have no idea how I'm supposed to use it! Is it a gadget?

I feel though that almost all my problems would go away if I played with people who actually used headsets.

Just go an stand behind a tank and repair it as it takes damage, you get like 20 points every 5 seconds or so doing that, even more if the tank is part of your squad.

Even better sit in the back of a big chopper and repair it as it is flying around, you'll have a very strong death machine laying down suppressing fire that is constantly regenerating health.

Repair a tank as a medic?

                  You could try

Press right on the d-pad to use gadgets, when around your squad or team mates throw the med-packs on the ground. You'll gain points whenever they are used.

Play the game in a squad and just try and stay alive in the action zones. Your squad will be able to spawn on you and you can do your best to revive and keep them fighting. Be sure you spot ALL THE TIME (press back) - if the spotted unit dies you get a bunch of points.

You get points for doing anything that helps your team, and extra points if it helps your squad. Grabbing control points nets you a nice amount of points too.

Also your gun isn't that bad, so you can get kills when required!

I should add that I don't actually play as a medic, I'm prefering engineer due to the satisfaction of taking out tanks with the rocket

Love it. BF2 lite for consoles cant ask for out more. Played it with clan on PS3 last night for first proper night and got over 3k as engineer over and over had highest score all night. Got 2 tanks and a defence flag at once for a whopping 850 points in one go.

Cracking game and works incredible with just 4 against the unwashed

I noticed this too, played around 5-10 games so far and barely heard a word. Not sure if it has something to do with being in a 4 man squad limiting your voice communications.

This video should help with a few things that aren't explained very well ingame, as well as how to play properly.

Just been playing some more. Turns out that I stopped playing last night at the wrong moment, the game really opens up when you get the health kits, regularly hitting newer 1000 points per game now and got a new weapon and a rank up!

                          Love this game.

Quite a few numpties playing though, one heli pilot made it impossible to shoot anything with his erratic flying then flew out of bounds and rather than correct it, jumped out leaving me in the gunner seat in an unpiloted heli to die!

So far for me this is sooo much better than MW2!

Tried to watch the video. I am sure it was informative in places, but they guy talking was just an absolute bell-end.
