I hope they will fix it, but I have glitched achievements for RS Vegas and Riddick with no patched fix so I doubt it.

Me too. Wish I'd read your post sooner. Waste of money for me as I won't be playing it again. I don't recall the N64 version making me sick although lots of games in the past have.

I can't read, text or look away from the road when in a car either. Can also get travel sick on trains if reading at times.

I had the same problem, but you'll soon adapt to it!

Try stick a blob of blu tack or something on your screen where you weapon fires and turning off auto aim this may be enough to stop the motion sickeness

Okay, ignored the blutack tip but went with the other and I've been okay. Still not sure whether to believe the blutack or not. They don't call him EvilBoris for nothing I reckon.

I can't remember if PD has an aiming reticule or not, I remember the mirrors edge developer saying that everyone got motion sickness without a reticule, so I wondered if the bluetak spot would help.

Playing Perfect Agent difficulty without auto-aim will make you more of a man anyway, if you want to act like a real sicko then turn the crosshairs off as well. You might want to turn 'Look Ahead' off if you're worried about motion sickness. There will be times you want to strafe up to full speed and negotiate chicane style corridors though, this might make you dizzy if you're not used to it. Some Americans were accusing me of hacking the game last night because I was running so fast. n00bs.

                  Rare Ltd.

Re: Tools of the Trade achievement problem. Cause is known (save file/achievement data not fully synchronising), fix is being looked at...

...as part of a possible title update. Prevention possible by keeping the console on for five minutes after completing any weapons training.

Loving this but really disappointed with the online options. I wanted to play Team DM with 2 friends last night and there's no way of doing it other than searching at the same time and praying you're on the same team

                      Thanks for the impressions.
What strikes me most about the complaints is that 4J appear not to have had people playtest it who love and know the original or this sort of stuff would have been spotted, including the achievements. I have read that they buggered up the Banjo-Tooie conversion too, but I've got no interest in getting that as the original was far too long and tedious. Do they really have no Southpaw players in their development or testing teams? And why is the control option screen different in the first place? Isn't it easiest to port everything, otherwise you end up with this sort of internet rage?
For me, PD is currently completely unplayable as I'm left-handed and my first console FPS was Turok, followed by Goldeneye, so I have no other option until they add 1.2 controls or at least some sort of Southpaw option. I can't say much about the conversion itself, therefore, and I am very fussy when it comes to remakes so no doubt I'll either have a lot to say or just be over the moon.
For me, it's just 800 points in the bog at the moment, but Rare do seem to care enough to fix things.
Timesplitters 2 is the only game to have ever given me motion sickness, so I'm hoping I don't have the same problem with PD post-patch, otherwise it really will give me a major sad.

Perfect Dark and the other House Party games are free to play online this weekend. Not having gold, I took advantage of this earlier and despite the very limited options I found it to be good fun, apart from the times I'd find a player who takes things far too seriously and only cares about winning.

Still can't do the Solo Missions without Legacy controls, though. Not being able to aim properly is incredibly frustrating and sucks all the fun out of the game after you get a few missions in. Please hurry up and patch it, Rare.

Still waiting for the patch here too. I think they've heard enough about the controls and the glitches to patch it, the twitter feed does go along those lines. Does bring into question 4J's ability. In the interview on XBL, the guy said "We had the original here running on the XBox", which makes me wonder if their only source material was an emulated version, rather than the original. I'd have lent them mine if it meant them getting it right first time. Meanwhile, i'm still 800MSP down with a game I can't play.

Just seen an update saying late April will be fixing issues people have said, hopefully it'll be fine when they roll it out

More buggy Cheevs, managed to unglitch Tools of the Trade and now Special Agent is bugged.

Yeh they said on their Twitter they're rolling out an update for bugged achievements and control sets but also said that some bugs weren't fixable as they have too many knock-on effects. 6 week wait is better than no fix at all but still bewildered no one thought of it or thought to leave original control sets in considering the group most likely to get the game.
