Indeed. It's easy to say now that I won't get it but I'm sure it'll be tempting nearer the World Cup

I like it a lot. I love the colour and atmosphere of the World Cup.

I won't buy it at full price though.

        .
I agree with that. It feels more PES than ever now. Its more solid, more measured somehow.
?40 is lot of money though but I will get it regardless as its virtually the only 360 game i play.

Does this demo have the 2 button mode?

              Whats the two button mode?

I understand peoples feelings on buying this as essentially it's a stop-gap between FIFA10 and FIFA11. We all know the latter will surface in October with the same gameplay tweaks so basically the decision to buy this hinges on how much you want the changes now and in time for the World Cup.

It's a tricky one but hopefully high street stores will drop the prices and compete to make it a more worthwhile purchase.

I was reading (on TeamXbox I think) about how they were going to synchronise the matches to the real results which is pretty cool, allowing you to change the course of history as it unfolds. It got me thinking though.

How cool would it be if they allowed DLC replays of entire matches within the game engine? You could watch goals from any angle, see the match from any player position etc... Now if it had that I would definitely buy it.

                  Yea ! Andy Townsend ohh...

"Any more of that and he'll get a yellow card !"...

The game is a bit smother, but not much added really, for what they're charging. There's a new chip ability for penalties !

Also, a bit toooo many cuts to the managers ! Hopefully, this is just because the demo is short ? Hope we can select how often these pop up or off...

Played a few more matches. Shooting is a lot better, plus better runs and positioning by players in the box.

Only had time to have one game. It seems a little bit more zippy in the dribbling department which I welcome. That's the only thing that stuck out during my first game. Mainly because I was playing on World Class.

                    Seems really nice so far.

Not into the cut scenes. Seems to be too many. I really dislike the dancing crowd cut scene. Hopefully, you can turn these off.

Chipped penalties are nothing new, they were in FIFA 10 and 09 if I remember correctly.

after a few more games it confirms my thoughts that it is really just a tightened up 10 with a fancy world cup coat of paint.

it plays a great game of footy and seems far harder to make space or break the other team down (though this could be cos I keep playing against Italy).

I quite like the cut to the manager shots but can't get that excited about low poly count face painted crop top wearing crumpet shots. plus those bloody trumpets are going to really get on my wick when the WC proper kicks off.

I like the stats screen at the end of each match where it shows each players individual performance on the formation football pitch. For example you can view each pass made, tackles made, dribbles etc. I can't remember seeing that in Fifa 10. No biggy really but a nice touch as you can see what areas you need to work on in a match and which player isn't doing the business for you.

This is hugely improved. So many of the faults have been ironed out.

Keepers are so much better and very direct on 1v1 situations. Better at dealing with crosses also but can be beaten in the air unlike Fifa 10.

AI movement seems better, more runs which creates more space.

Shooting is much more difficult but shots do seem much less likely to baloon over.

Ball physics are much more weighted, feels so solid because of this.

Player detail ramped up ten fold.

Chest control is sublime, about time EA ripped the final piece from PES. Can get you out of some stick situations and into some great scoring ones.

I think the cutscenes can be turned on in the options as can the volume of the plastic trumpets.

The whole game is better in every aspect. Like PES used to or more the 6 month W.E updates its just so nicely refined. I must have cracked 100 hours plus including almost 200 games on clubs so it needed it for me.

Very happy and cant wait for release.

I'd rather that than being told that everythng a player does is so emphatic!!

This is really quite good, am I assuming that this will have much less content than FIFA 2010, i.e clubs & leagues?
