I've done some searching around and it seems most people either never looked in the options to find this, or it doesn't exist. The image is a bit strange, it seems to have English text underneath, then Japanese on top, then some more english.

Does anyone have the PS3 version to confirm? Cheers

As you can see that's the PS3 version.

The text is over the top as it was added in with photoshop as a translation for those who don't understand japanese.

Brought the US version online for the first time. The network speed is much better, all matches I had were lag-free, although ranked matching still takes a while.
On the other hand I couldn't get a decent connection during player matches and after a very slow match (and an almost comically fast spectator mode) I left the room to avoid dragging people down.

Been playing this yesterday, pretty surprised at the quality. BB:CS renders CT useless, thats for sure. The game also seems to have better graphics (mainly AA). Optional Install is a nice touch, i've been wanting this since the original.

Balance much better, great tutorial mode, useful challenge mode.. Its hard to dislike this game at its low price.

I have no internet at the mo, so been playing Arcade mode a lot. The boss is near unbeatable or something? He's one big mother.

Roughly on par with Unlimited Ragna, Hazama has less distortion drives (probably a bit less damaging too) but are faster and more vicious...plus he can tear apart everyone in air.
The aura around Hazama not only is poisonous to your character but also regenerates his health, he blocks a lot to abuse this special and his Jayoku Houtenjin is incredibly fast and it is possible to block or counter (expect to receive a fatal counter though).
Just hammering him with combos does not really work, though you'll eventually break his shield for some decent damage (and a trophy). Depending on the character, it's better to land a basic combo and retreat to avoid the aura and repeat. He's somewhat weak against low attacks and powerful characters like Haku-men and Tager have more chances than, say, Noel (oh the number of attempts before beating Hazama with her...) or Carl, but he will always be a nasty opponent.

I did break his guard with continous QCB+A from Ragna. It seems that this move, and following it by a regular Drive attack works decently.

I usually get close to beating him, but he out-cheaps me with his way too quick distortions. I still have to get used to evade his ground Distortion and predicting his distortions in general.

Where is the DLC for the US version in the store? I can only find Calamity Trigger add-ons. I want to get a PSN points card sorted out before my US version arrives, and I can't tell how much it's going to cost.

I was under the impression that DLC went up at launch (goddamrassinfrassin.... etc etc)

I still have about 10 bucks to spend on my US account. Saved it for this. I guess it will be up by tomorrow. I believe MS had it up by last week already.

In version 1.01 Makoto taunts US players with her locked portrait...well, Japanese players too. She'll be first available during the first days of August in Japan, so I think that US will get her at the end of the same month or during September. She'll be a launch DLC for the EU release though (October).
The Japanese Continuum Shift already has a good number of DLCs, but those are additional colors (I must day that Mu-Dizzy looks great :P), alternate voices for the announcer (even more Engrish for you!) and unlimited characters.

Makoto's up on US Store. And you know what, bought Mu too just to get rid of those last few dimes. Although I was underway to unlock her

Largo and I had a good number of matches where I used Makoto once and also faced her a couple of times in ranked match.

She hits hard and does not have a real long-range move. There a 236AD "fireball" that is mostly used to start or prolong combos, to get near opponents Makoto needs to run (fairly fast but relatively large hitbox) or use what I call a ninja-squirrel duplication technique: Makoto splits into three "shadows" and by pressing an attack button, she can either go straight at the opponent (A), attack from above(B) or jump above it(C).
Whenever she starts a combo a meter fills up and depending on how full this meter his, the farter her first distortion drive will reach. This drive has a massive "loading" time and hits above the characters' head and it's best used as an anti-air finisher.
Her second drive is short-range, multiple input drive. The first hit is "free" with the distortion drive, it's possible to add three other hits by pressing D.
The Astral Finish see Makoto uppercutting the opponent by projecting a giant version of herself, so giant that it reaches the moon, stamp her fist on it and eventually breaks it with her unlucky opponent sent beyond the solar system.
Some of her standard moves are used to get around the opponent and to dodge incoming attacks (like her 3C, which I kept using to inflict damage despite its real use) and she can switch places after a successful special attack like Bang or Noel. There's also a parry/counter move (26 to parry, combos to counter) that it's not as fast as Hakumen's to pull out nor it has an automatic reply, but it's quite intuitive and you'll probably block most times anyway.
Makoto has her own challenges, she can be used in score attack but not in arcade mode; she comes equipped with her unlimited form.

Looks like her ego is a big as Bang's, all distortion drives and the astral finish have her larger version in background; most animation frames show off her outfit...yes, there's a whole lot of fan service going on with her.

Compared to CT, there's much more character variety in ranked mode. There are a lot of Tagers, Ragna is always a popular choice (and object of hate with Bang and sometimes Noel) and Tsubaki is liked by lots of people. Met just one Jin and one Mu players.
I thought people would flock to Mu for a short period of time (and start spamming funnels, which can get very annoying), as I thought it would happen with Makoto, instead opponent variety is shifting toward "seasoned" characters.
