I quite like the story mode and the fleshed out characters, kind if shames all fighters in this regard.

Don't worry, I got back to complete score attack less than one month ago and haven't played against a human in ages.

I've gotten to the first unlimited character and been stupid and lost. lol

It's pretty easy with Lambda because you can distance yourself and hit them very easily.

The thing is if you want to unlock all the unlimited you have to beat it with every character. Nasty.

No point in getting every unlimited if you ask me, I only beat score attack with my main character and I have never used his unlimited form - it's no good for online play (except in a muck-about player room I guess) and if you want to do something with unlimited characters just play legion mode.

I've been playing the PAL 360 release a bit after not really getting into the JP version too much. It's great! Haven't put too much effort into trying Score Attack yet, but I did manage it in the original - not sure some of the cheese tactics from before are as applicable though as the CPU seems to throw reject a heck of a lot more this time round. I stumped up for all the unlimited characters + Makoto & Valkenhayn to save the hassle of doing it multiple times, at least.

Challenge mode is... tough. I am not sure I am up to scratch to get the 100 challenges achievement. I felt at least with SFIV's, you did learn some useful combos, whereas this seems to get into the deep end of things quite quickly.

Online I've been sticking to my main (Tager) and am on a pretty solid win/loss ratio. Anyone else playing the 360 version? Would be good to grind out the player match achievements some time

Thread bump, after months I'm back playing online and...oh God, it's full of Jin! You can tell you're playing against EU players because they use Jin, US players because they use Tager and JPN players because they use Bang.
Well, more or less.
Having EU players on board mean that ranked matches are found almost instantaneously, but there are also players in their 40s spamming moves like scrubs...like this almost comical match I had against a Jin were he would continuously use ice cars well above any character' standing height and I would reply by starting an air combo with Lambda's 6D; problem is that wouldn't stop doing this.
Ah well, I guess being beaten down -hard- by a lvl 68 Litchi taught me not to jump around carelessly.

Still have troubles to open opponents' guard. I know that a j214D is a good overhead but I have troubles performing them 100% of the times.

Aw, just disconnected and haven't paid attention to the forums. If you see me online drop a message, I'm usually in ranked matches but I'll gladly go for a friendly match, maybe I'll start using someone else than Lambda.
