Indeed. I have just hit the 60 hour mark now. Still love it so much, really is a great title.

If you're going to play a version of P3 looks like this is the version to get. I'd imagine taking a lot of the P4 tweaks and improvements makes a massive difference.
May still be worthwhile checking out P3 FES just for the after story. It's on a seperate disc and you won't need to play through the main game to play it, takes about half as long to finish as the main game. It's a pure dungeon crawler but it does round off the story well.

Yeah, I'm finding it a real breeze. Think I'll do a NG+ as the female on hard.
The only slight negative is that I'm not as enamoured with the characters in this as I was in P4, and the story isnt as interesting. Though I genuinely LOLed on the train when the P4 cameo showed up.
Other people have mentioned that this has lost some of its charm, due to all the non-tartarus sections being in 2D and scarcely animated. Might have to play through FES on the PS2 to see what the real differences are!

P4 definitely has better, more likable characters, I would also argue it has a better story too (although opinions on that differ).
FES gets a lot of credit for genuinely surprising me though
The way it ended was much more mature than you'd expect from a game's story in the way they accepted what happened at the end of P3 and didn't put the world at risk for their selfish desires.
.
It's a shame that Persona 5 looks set to be a year away (in Japan, let alone in the west). Catherine looks interesting though

It has lost some charm, the character animation is very good and the face flashes in conversation are brilliant. It is still excellent though.
P4 is certain the better game on PS2 to play. Better dungeon variation and combat. I love the story also, some really funny moment in there but there is somethin about P3 i love. Junpei is brilliant!
