    I totally agree.

My advice to anyone would be to just power through the first playthrough and get onto the next one, where you'll actually enjoy it more.

I've only seen melee weapons in trailers. Any guns in this, for those who are playing?

        Yeah quite a few.

Handgun, Shotgun and a few automatic weapons.

          Yep.
Handguns, shotguns, assault rifles. Like the first game, they're worthless compared to melee.

Just finished first run through - ending C and level 36!

Bagged a few trophies on the way.

Right, here we go again, eyes down for a full house.

Almost rage quit the game after the game designers thought it would be ever such a good idea to stick a boss battle in one of the save points.

There are all the ingredients to make a really good game here but at every turn there's something that frustrates or annoys.

Is it just me (and i'm ready for shouts of yes it is) but are the boss battles stupidly difficult and frustrating, especially when dying means i have to go through all the areas, kill all the zombies i had to kill on the way to getting to the fight each and every time, not one boss have i managed to kill on the first try, the best ive done is the chef and that was third attempt, just fighting the twins now and i'm this close to smashing the pad, i'm really not enjoying how they've done this, at least let me start the fight again if i die.

Apart from that, the game is really good

I'm finding the bosses easy. One of them glitched on me and drove himself stuck in a wall. Just pummelled him to death. Think I have fought about 5 of them.

It'll be dead (ho-ho!) in the water in next to no time, without a doubt. It was a bit worrying when I tried to play online yesterday and spent 10 or so minutes waiting in a lobby for players though. That on release week is not a good sign

But having managed to get a few games, I actually enjoyed the fact that it's a rather throwaway mode with short matches.

It almost seems like they knew it wasn't going to fly very far so made it as short as possible.

                      Just finished this including

                      overtime mode

on lvl 35 S Rank. Bit undecided on whether I think it's any better than the original as I thought the story, main characters and Psychopaths weren't quite as good, also seems a bit easier. Saying that, the customisation, improved AI and larger environments are a plus, either way I really enjoyed it and as always theres some genuinly funny moments in both the story and just pissing about to be had, thought the mission "One Hit Wonder" was especially funny.

Bit gutted that Capcom decided to shaft us PS3 owners with Case West though as I need some more Dead Rising after this, still I've got plenty to go at with another replay trying to max everything out and going for the stuff I missed, also slightly disapointed that theres no

                      infinity mode

either after completion, no doubt it's coming as paid DLC.

I too am finding the boss battles extremely tough this time around. I'm level 32 and I'm seriously struggling with

                        Sullivan

, who I assume is the final boss. Any tips on how to beat this one?

Concentrate on killing just one of them... I wasted so much time fighting both of them only to achieve the same result!

                            Use

boxing gloves combined with a bowie knife, just make sure you bring plenty of health items as well and when your running low jump off the platform to heal. You should beat him in no time with that method.

I'm very early on this, just reached Day 2 on the first playthrough (no bosses yet thankfully) and so far I prefer it to either the original or Case Zero. It's nothing special but for some unknown reason it's just clicking with me better than the first one did.

Nice to read some comments. I`m excited about buying this when I have some spare cash perhaps after PES 2011 and GT5. As I suspected after dabbling in the first one at a mates. It could get really annoying. Nice ideas I do wonder why they don`t just let you save anywhere. They must know it makes sense after the complaints about the first games save points n boss battles??
