The thing about this (multiple playthroughs) is that when the first one came out, you didn't have 4-5 games being released every week that you'd be interested in.

So back then, replaying a game 3-5 times, as I did...it was viable. Doing so for a game like this nowadays with Reach, FIFA and PES on the horizon...I just don't think people will do it.

My advice, for the least stressful time is to enjoy a first playthrough of just story, give yourself plenty of time to always be able to go the case files, level up as best you can along the way. Second time, do what you want, but knowing the way the case files go you will find it far more enjoyable the second time.

Some of the bosses are beasts though and you'll be best to avoid them until the second playthrough.

Make 2 saves use one to continue the cases, then a second to mess around & explore. Obviously your cases will expire in the messing round save but you can continue to have fun, you just have to find zombrex for katie but thats your only concern. Gives you a chance then to learn what items are in which shops so when you need to prepare you can then go back to the other save & contunie the cases with more preparation.

Put quite a few hours into it, yes it's unbalanced at times but you just need to get a different weapon & lots of food to get through most battles. I tend to have one long range weapon & a close up one & the rest of the slots for food.

Or BASTARD! As I call him.

Has anyone found the magic combination of weapons yet? The first one had the mini chainsaws, I'm hearing talk of the spiked bat, but it doesn't sound as much fun.

is there still an RPG element where you can equip books which help weapons and objects last longer/give more energy etc?

Enjoying this a lot. I've played up to Case 1-4 about 10 times, but have run out of time since I tend to go off exploring. Will go for the full play through next.

Drill Bucket. My favorite so far.

do you have to hold onto the books? or can you read and throw?

incidentally, any advice on beating the crazy guy in the toilet? Finding him too fast to get hits in and he gets me every time he jumps in the stalls.

When he jumps into a cubicle just run away in one direction. He'll jump out and try and hit you but is stunned for a moment after if he misses.

Also, find a weapon you like, get lots of em, and about 4/5 OJ's.

Certainly easier to kill that the ****ING Chef though.

The chef is pretty easy once you watch his pattern, you hit him twice with a spiked bat then retreat as he will take a swing at you, then run after him when he goes to eat & whack him twice more then retreat, stock up on pizzas from the nearby resaurant. With a spiked bat you can take him down pretty quick.

I'm getting along better with this than i was yesterday, finally beat the psycho in the toilets, the chef, and the twins (i was trying to kill both till i found you only need to kill 1), always good to have 2 painkillers (mix a beer+beer, or whisky+whisky, or vodka+vodka) and i tend to keep 2 spiked bats in case one breaks, just found out today aswell that you can make combo weapons before earning the relevant combo card as long as you know the various combinations, you just don't get the pp bonus until you 'officially' unlock it apparantly.

Right I'm off to make a lightsabre now I have that new info
