Had my first blast on this last night - all seems present and correct. Very happy with it.

I've got a drum set and mic if anyone wants to go achievement hunting - although I've never sung and I'm crap on the drums.

          Yo!

I got this for Christmas from my lovely wife with a shiny new wireless guitar!

I'm up for some face-melting soloing with you, K0pp0! I looked at your feed and got an achievement for it, so you're helping me already...

I'm playing through at the moment on Medium Guitar because I enjoy the relatively stress-free gameplay. I can do hard guitar and expert bass, but expert guitar is but a dream.

Got all the instruments too at the moment. I won't judge you on your singing, I'll leave that to the game.

I'm really enjoying the quest mode at the moment because each character has different modifiers, such as double SP or streak protection, and this changes your strategy when playing.

I'm liking the song selection thus far too. Less indie tat. I wanna ROCK not tinkle my axe!

          Shred you later, K0pp0!

Much fun with this last night - especially applying the RAWK to QualityChimps scores. Ho ho.

I've always wondered this on the GH series - if I completely fill the power meter before activating star power, does it drain slower than if it's less than full?

Don't think so - I think they drain the same speed. Peev would know I'm sure..

BTW, how're those scores coming? Need to get some co-op/face off shizzle going still..

I'm not scoring in Quickplay+ at the moment, I'm trying to dominate the Quest.

I'm really struggling getting 40 stars on "Calling" by Strung Out in Lars Umlaut's section. It's the hardest song I've got up to so far. I can get 35 tops.

I'm also having trouble with "Call Me The Breeze" by Lynyrd Skynyrd in Casey Lynch's set. For some reason, the star power drains really fast and you're out of it more than it it, whereas most of the other songs have you barely leaving it. I wonder why that is?

I bought the Megadeth pack in the Activision sale, so I've a nice 6-song set list if I want to hurt my fingers!

I went online for the first time with it and everybody was on Hard or Expert - Respect.

I've got Hot Pursuit too, mate, but spending most my time on Warriors of Rock at the moment. I see you've beaten a couple of my scores though!

Christ yeah.. I thought I'd have a crack on line. First match with 2 other guys FC-ing the hardest songs in the game on expert.. well out of my depth.

Thinking of importing the BH and GH:Metallica songs into it. I need Ace of Spades!

I notice Head Like A Hole is DLC for this now. I think I suddenly need this game.

                          ...and buy it I did.

After playing the demo and being underwhelmed, I was lured in by the £17.99 price point on play.com a few weeks ago and the NIN DLC.

After playing this for over a week, I would say this is the best entry into the series for a while. It's fun, it has let me export loads of old stuff into it (including lots of Guitar Hero Metallica), and it's got legs in single player mode.

As Rock Band 3 has tried to strive for realism, this has went the other way and embraced it's "Gameyness". The quest mode is all about over the top power ups and the Rush section is amazing. The quickplay+ puts an emphisis on score attacks, and the ability to chase friends high scores and the leaderboard intergration is second to none, and really adds a lot to the game.

A genuine surprise for me, and after me saying that Rock Band 3 had the market sewn up, I'm now eating my words.

Yeah, its a shame so few people bought this, it was really good.

I dont think this sold very well anyway, not many people on here seem to have played it. Activision will probabaly think we dont want proper rock music in Guitar Hero now and the next one they release will be Guitar Hero: Abba or somthing.

I got this as a xmas gift, and it's my first GH game too. It's great, a lot of fun and there is a good selection of tracks. I've only played it by practicing on easy but at full speed.

There is a massive sense of achievement when you get it right, especially when you string notes together. I aim to get 85% accuracy and have had many in 90%+ and one 99% on Seven Nation Army, missing just one note through the whole song.

Having practiced a few of the songs I think I'm ready to go into the single player mode.

After not being to update all my content to GH:5 last year and Activision's false promises of more content being made foward compatibile, as well as some awful downloadable content for the past 12 months, I have really had to think twice this year.

I really didn't enjoy the demo for this game at all, and I'd consider myself a pretty big Guitar Hero fan. I will pick this up at a more reasonable price further down the line I think.
Word. The false promises of more content from Smash Hits and World Tour was really bothersome.

World Tour missed a lot of gameplay options imo, which they included in 5.
                                Stuff like:
                                drop-in/drop-out players
                                save band members
play the song the demo is playing (party play)
                                play 4x the same instrument
1 player can set the options for all the players
                                change difficulty in song
Star Power tracked separately for each player
No seperate career modes for single player and multiplayer

                                I probably miss a few.
Does 6/Warriors of Rock introduce any new elements in this department?
