Fifa 11 [Multi]

Never got on with the pro mode as I prefer controlling the whole team. The problem with Fifa is it plays a lovely game of football and the presentation is fantastic (in the main) but the functionality of the game in the two parts I use it for (online and manager) are so badly implemented that I'm pissed off with it by the time I actually get to play the game.

Selling it today anyway but may pick up PES or wait a couple of months to see if they sort it out although I'm guessing the transfer system is screwed for another year as they are unlikely to touch this imo.

Not sure what everyone is complaining at with the online, Ive played loads and have had no problems, it seems even quicker to find a game than 10 was and I'm yet to play even a laggy game, nevermind one I have been disconected from.

Guess I'm really lucky. To me it seems very harsh to sell the game and/or rate it a 1 becuase of an online issue that I havent even noticed and if it even exists will no doubt be fixed soon... but anyway I guess we shoulnt talk about that, dont want this turning into a certain other recent thread .

Its a good game but the online is totally broken, I havent managed to get a single online game yet I just keep getting logged out all the time.

Never had an issue with any of the others. A very poor show on the online side so far.

Im planning of selling (thanks for the CEX cash tip) or part-ex this also. I only play Manager Mode, and am disappointed that the issues I had with Fifa 10s havent really been addressed. I dislike the calendar waiting, and still hate the clumsy transfer system. The game itself does seem more refined, but I dont feel its enough to justify my purchase.

1 on 1 is fine for me. It's the clubs I'm having major problems with.

You only have to head over to the official FIFA11 forums to see how nearly every thread is a problem thread.

I posted my problem there and it quickly sunk into the depths of limbo. To be expected though due to the amount of units that get sold.

What's the other thread you're on about? Did I miss some drama?

Clubs is such a mess at the moment. A few problems off the top of my head....

- The game freezes in the lobby for me after EVERY game so I have to dashboard it every time I play and load up the game again. The fact FIFA11 is one of the slowest loading games I've played in years makes it all the more frustrating.

- Club games take about 20 attempts to find anyone, made all the more annoying by the fact that when search fails it kicks random people out of their position and random changes the captain.

- Games range from super smooth to completely unplayable (about a 2-3 second delay in some cases). Oddly most of the laggy games have been against fellow UK players.

- Random disconnects. About half of our games never made it to the end of the match before we lost one of of our players.

- Search filters don't work properly. We always use 'British Isles' but it matched us against a Dutch team last night.

- Sometimes when a search fails before the game starts the club lobby locks you out of it and will not work until EVERY player quits to the dashboard.

- Opposition players have appeared in our team after a succesful search.

- Scoring is completely broken. We've won matches against higher ranked teams but LOST point for beating them? It's happened the other way too, losing to lower ranked teams but GAINING points for losing to them? Oh, and Ive seen teams with something like '-1034769001872' points.


Not sure about voice problems as we always use a party on the 360 but it wouldn't surprise me if that was messed up like Hoolak said.

How does something release this broken? I could understand if Clubs was a drastically new thing but it was in FIFA10 and generally worked perfectly

Well my career mode has frozen and will not advance past a match.

Blimey didn't realise things were this bad.
I've not touched it since the other night but It's my night for gaming tonight...missus is out round her parents so was looking forward to a nice 2hr sesh on Fifa tonight but I'm scared to boot it up now

I might just carry on my season on '10 until fixes appear for this one.

I only play 1v1 online and local 1v1 matches with my mates and so far have had zero issues, I should probably try some more modes.

Soundwave, not to worry I have sorted the issue. All I had to do was go into the calendar and advance the date to one day after the match it was freezing on. Not ideal mind but at least I saved my season. Also got a 1-0 win for the match!

Ranked leaderboards were reset yesterday it seems, I was annoyed last night as I was on a 5 match winning streak and was drawing 1-1, broke away through on goal and in a very very laggy match (rare for me I might add) the game signed me out of EA servers and gave me a 3% DNF which annoyed the hell out of me as I wanted 0% this year.

But luckily in a way, I play a game this morning, win and get 74 points making my total 274, I was a little worried as to why but it seems everyone got reset, now I'm back on a 5 match streak with a 0% DNF again, woo!

I've played lots of games online, most very very stable, a few a little laggy with like 1 second button delay, but no problems offline at all, its great fun to have 3 mates over and play 2vs2, top game

Well got a little while with this last night & got to say I'm still really enjoying it.
Not as pleased with new Career mode as I was with the Manager mode in '10 but it's going to keep me occupied for a long time I think.

Anyway scored my first goal last night against Rochdale.
Nothing special just a little header but I was pleased enough to upload it lol...

Erm not sure to be honest, the goal scorer was Barry Corr but cant remember if I sent the cross in or not now lol

Loving your one's thats some great skills there, the second one is fantastic.

Might have a play with some of the premiership teams this weekend see what proper football is like lol
