I want to enjoy being a Player Manager too. Get some trophy and 'dat. Gonna have to pray and hope that my AI boys, pull their fingers out. Got a feeling they're gonna dribble out a season of nil-nils though. Imagine if I was just the goalie! At least I can go up for corners... oh..

Got my Fowler looking pretty good now, just need to unlock some Nike boots...

      And 'eating the grass'

On a side note, could EA make these screenshots look any worse? So much compression

It's the same with the videos, imho they look horrendous yet the game is stunning.

Wow, if only girls knew this kind of thing existed in FIFA.

FIFA 12 to include a "WAG's boutique" mode.

          I'm just jesting

            Very impressed with this.

Just played some lag free online for hour or so and it was great, really got a different feel to 10 & WC and feels quite 'free' to play. Just feels like fitba.

Anyone scored any goals worth sharing yet? I'm picking this up tomorrow morning. Can't wait!

I thought I'd start Be A Pro with a random team down a few divisions so I could get promoted with them. Random choice was Southampton. Only problem is, all my team-mates are completely gash. What I like about the game mode is that you can pick any position you like and be disciplined to play that role and stick with it. But its difficult not to be Roy of the Rovers when your colleagues seem unable to even trouble the opposition keeper, no matter how many chances you lay on for them.

Online works well, zero lag so far. Obviously you still get players who will only use Barca, but its great to just pick a European league and some random team to play with. When you play against the big teams, the thing I've come a cropper with is the star player syndrome. Just like real life, you could hold a much bigger club to a draw or be beating them, but in the last minute, a big-name player can pull off something special and there isn't a thing you can do about it.

Glad to see the AI doesn't always play free kicks short anymore, that was a real annoyance in previous Fifas.

All in all, loving it, even if I am crap online.

My copy turned up this morning and I have to go to work. On the bright side it's a long weekend here in Australia, yeeeeessssss!!

Im off to see Robbie Fowler playing next month, Perth vs Sydney as well. One of the guys I played football with on sundays is the fan relations manager for Sydney FC so I get free home game tickets for helping him out

Does anyone else think the full game feels completely different to the demo?

I had a mate and my brother down for freshers week and we literally must have had over 200 matches on the demo over the week so I had a good feel for the demo. However the full game feels a lot faster and you have no time on the ball to even think which leads to the ping pong passing and pressure abuse in online games.

After being so impressed with the demo I'm initially really disappointed.

The only thing I have noticed is the menus are very clunky and slow moving.

The last FIFA I played was 09 though, no idea how it stacks up to 10.

I know what you mean about time on the ball and pressure abuse. I played online against someone who was crap. I must of had 70% possession, but in the final third my attackers were easily nudged off the ball or forced out wide with jostling.

The only way I can get through is with one-two abuse. Because of that, I feel like I'm the one who is slightly exploiting and it's taking the simulation feel out of the game.

I read in an interview with David Rutter that the super human pressure had been tweaked, allowing for a bit more time on the ball, but I don't see it.

I like to use dribbling players to do maizey runs, but in Fifa 11 I've been mostly thrown of the ball with minimum effort.

I know Park Chou Young is probably not the strongest player but to go to the ground through any contact of pressure is a bit unrealistic. He can jostle for a second or two and then dies.

Feels like the demo to me.

I love how personality plus and the passing system makes you play like real footy, you can really carve out space and some great movements by shielding the ball, keeping simple possession and working for the room all the while taking account who is up against who.

For me it's shaping up to be the best sim of the game ever, already seen reviews commenting on how this difficulty leads to scrappy midfield battles and the game playing in a less stylish way. Think your take on this will depend on how much you appreciate carving out the glory moment (like the real thing) by putting in the hard yards.

Absolutely love it based on 2P only so far

That's summed it up for me too Hoolak. It was strange playing some online games yesterday because up against players who seemed poor I was struggling. Maybe it will be better when playing in an online league with like-minded people?

I dunno, I recently got a friend into it (FIFA10) and we've had a few friendlies on FIFA11. Stalemates. Midfield clumsy ball exchanges due to pressure. I say clumsy, because we try to play "beautiful" but the limited space causes it.

It's not all doom and gloom, there have been some great passages of play, but on the other hand an awful lot of clumsy looking comings together due to the simple high pressure.

Hey, I'll give it more time, as no doubt I'll be playing this through out the year. Hopefully, I'll eventually get used to it.

think your comments highlight what I menat in my post above, what some will see as clumsy midfield messes others may see as tense midfield battles.

either that or the novelty of a new game not worn off for me yet.
