Think the multi-players great, easily as fun as COD and the main game is excellent.
I am far from being a fan of FPS' and this one really impressed, lovin' it!

I dont know why people keep mentiing this and Call of Duty together, the only thing like COD in this game is the snap targeting and regenerating health, 2 things which are in other games as well

It plays nothing like COD really, COD is all about being in huge firefights and just killing crap loads of bad guys and no other FPS series does that better really. But this isnt like that, its not as linear, its about doing the mission objectives and playing how you want, be that stealth like or more gung ho.

Having played it quite alot now I'm still not really happy about the game making you either start again or drop down in difficulty if you miss objectives but they are usualy hard to miss bar a few instances so its not actualy that big a deal at the end of the day.

Its good, I like it, but suprisingly I think I like James Bond: Bloodstone just that little bit more and, despite what a few of the reviews said, that game makes you feel more like Bond than this one does, though they both do a pretty good job in that regard really.

The mechanics are very CoD. The almost zooming melee kills, the pace, the XP, the stats, the perks, the weapon upgrades, the running etc. Defo on MP anyway.

I was talking about the Single Player, I'm probabaly never even going to try the multiplayer becuase I dont really play many games online.

The single player is not like COD.

Yeah, the guy you quoted was talking about MP, so in that respect, I think he had a point. Not sure if anyone was talking about the SP being like CoD.

Ive read lots of people that have been, for instance how about this quote from this very thread....

This is nonsesne, no way is this game about simply going from "point a to b and brapping fools". He even states that hes playing it on normal and not easy, so obviously he has mission objectives to do, yet goes on to complain that the game isnt giving him any.

I'm really enjoying this now, I started playing it on Agent and missed an objective and ended up playing through the game on 007 difficulty, which I'd recommend. (I tried the first level on 007 Classic and it's pretty hard, so ended up giving up with it! I couldn't find any armour, and haven't throughout the game.)

I'm on the penultimate level now. I'd advise people to stick with it if they're having problems because it's a great game and I'm certainly glad I stuck with it.

It drops you straight down to operative if you miss an objective, even on 007, basically when you see an indicator that you're near a mission objective, don't leave the area 'til you've done what's needed.

Oh so that's why I was dropped down to Operative, thought I picked Agent at the start for sure, but there it was: "Operative". I did miss an objective in the first level (simply didn't know where to look at that time lol).

As I mentioned a few pages back the first level confused me too, I couldnt figure out how to get in one of the rooms.

It does tell you that you will have to continue on operative if you dont replay the level and get the objectives so I'm suprised so many people seem to be confused by it.

However it would probabaly have been better if it told you during the first level and not just at the end, people would probabaly take more notice if it popped up in a tutorial window as opposed to the end of level stats screen that most people probabaly just try exit as quick as possible.

Has anyone played splitscreen? What's it like? I'm kinda worried that playing with a nunchuk/wiimote will be very difficult in 4P as there will only be a tiny window to point at, even on a 40 inch TV :/

You don't actually point at the screen. The Wii remote has a built in camera that tracks the two lights emitted from the sensor bar, and calculates your movements based on their position. So the size of the tv is not a problem.

I still maintain that this shouldnt be played with the wiimote anyway, after 10 minutes it gives me serious arm ache. It works perfectly with the classic controller.

Also the controllers have snap targeting, the wii remote dosnet, which means multiplayer is probabaly alot easier on the classic controller too for that reason.

The Wii remote DOES have snap targeting. To me it seems a bit faster to play with the Wii remote, and maybe a bit too easy. You simply hover over an enemey, press Z (i believe it's called Z) and you have him dead on. And with the Wii remote you can do this really fast compared to the classic controller.

I got this the other day. Overall, I'm pretty impressed.

The Wii Remote method is a little more complicated than I would like it to be. In particular, I hate the way that when you hold Z to look down your sights it can be all too easy for the pointer to go off-screen and then the viewpoint stops moving. Basically you end up looking in the wrong direction and have to zoom out again to get your bearings. What I've now worked out is that you need to move the remote very slowly in target mode to stop this happening; bit counter-intuitive.

Is that just with the begginer wii remote settings or somthing? Both the game and manual state that the wii remote doesnt have snap targeting.

Doesnt really matter to me anyway, I dont play multiplatyer online and the wiimote still hurts my wrist.
