Use the stasis thing, and drag the handles down with the other special power. It's not really highlighted.

There were puzzles like that in the first one, I imagine there will be about the same amount in this one too.
That puzzle was a bit confusing though, I thought I had done it and the game had just got stuck or somthing but there were actually more things to pull down.
Considering Issac now has a voice, and this is mainly an action game, it would have been nice for him to say somthing like "I need to pull down these six thingy-me-bobs", or somthing.
Its never pleasent when you get stuck on what appears to be a tutorial.

Spooky
Having just played through and finished the first Dead Space, (which I totally loved by the way, bar a couple of very small issues), I'm a bit concerned by this demo. I know, I know, it's just a demo and nothing more really than a 'thrown in at the deep end' tutorial, but for me it just doesn't have that same spark about it. What immediately seems to be missing is the satisfying 'weight' of Isaac when walking or running around. I can't quite put my finger on why it feels different, but it does and unfortunately makes me feel less connected with the character and therefore the experience as a whole. Maybe it's because Isaac seems to run a lot faster or because the camera control feels that little bit more 'loose', but there's something just a bit 'off' from the feel of the original. Also, I'm very sad to find the Zero-G sections have changed, I hope they don't all revolve around flying around small arenas like an Event Horizon version of Ironman. I really enjoyed the Zero-G sections in the original and found them very satisfying, but maybe this has been done to increase difficulty and add a slightly different dimension to battles in Zero-G.
One design change I also question is the need to now destroy corpses to discover items. It just seems a little 'gratuitous for the sake of being gratuitous' to me, whereas in the original there was a very specific reason for doing this from time to time. And in reality, you'll still be performing the same routine of collecting the booty after the battle, though now it'll take a little longer as you stomp bodies to get the items instead of just being able to run around and grab them quickly or use kinesis to grab them from where you stand. Though, on thinking about it, maybe again it's been done to increase the difficulty level so it'll take you longer to grab your much needed supplies when in a battle that has waves of enemies. The first Dead Space, as good as it was, was a fairly easy run through first time, using just the Plasma Cutter, so I'll be having a go at Impossible next.
The slight remapping of the controls is annoying too as I thought the original control scheme was fine.
Also, I much preferred the silent Isaac to this new vocal and very sweary Isaac! I think his silence and having to read the logs to just gave the game that bit more atmosphere and placed you more within the actual character.
Maybe I'm being hyper critcial after having dropped into this straight after the first. I'm sure it will still be a fine game, but I still think the first will be the definitive Dead Space for me, but, here's hoping I can be proved wrong!
Moan over...

For some reason people seem to think the new style zero g bits are more limited even though we now have full control.
I didnt personaly have an issue with it in the original but I know people that did and wished they could have more control so I can completely understand why they ahve go this route here, it will no doubt be better, no reason why it wont that I can see.
This just seems like the first one but more refined to me, so I dont understand why the first one would be definitive in comparison to this demo.
