Agree with the expletives comment ebob. Seems unecessary and off putting.

So any tips yet?
I had a few matches last night and I'm up to rank 6. Graphics are good, sharp but it's not running so smooth and the controls are sluggish to respond. The one level is nice enough but hard to get your bearings on initially for me.
Using the mini map didn't seem to help me. Too often I've been killed by dudes sprinting around with the shotguns and blasting close range from the hip. Just seems hard to find the balance right now but I can see promise in this if they tidy things up before release.
What I don't like:
Killcam is rubbish. Both teams look a bit too similar in colour. Menus are naff looking and really boring. HUD text is hard to read.
Other than that it ain't bad but requires a massive learning curve.

Needs a lot of refinement but I actually quite like this, though I wish they hadn't copied the Call of Duty formula quite so closely.
The controls generally being pretty good (as in moving around the level, suit powers) I'm finding the aiming is off. If in CoD, Halo or Battlefield someone runs right across in front of me I know I can track them and take them down easily, but in this I seem to waste an entire clip only for them to turn around and take me out in a shot or two. I have no confidence that I'm actually going to kill the person standing right in front of me.
Despite this I found myself enjoying it, I like the level design and the graphics are better than most multiplayer shooters (in fact, I can't think of a better looking one). I also like the kill streak system which encourages people to move about more, but as I put at the top I wish they had put more effort into being a bit more original with the structure.
Also - four 360 lockups when loading the map. Ouch.
Can't say I was interested in this game for the multiplayer mind, if anything this demo just confirms that the 360 can run CryEngine3 and we should be in for a real treat with the single player

Yeah the controls are definitely off, the response time is just too slow to make sweeping arcs with your gun when aiming down the sights. Hopefully this is one major thing they'll nail down before launch.
Other than that... yeh it could be good.
Edit... how do you do the floor slide? I'm using alternate controls similar to CODs tactical setup and I can start doing it by sprinting and hitting the right stick in but it only seems to last for a split second before it stops?

Whilst running you have to hold crouch. I left the controls as the default because of this as I don't find the 360's L3 and R3's to be very good or responsive.
On more reflection, there might end up being technical reasons why the engine is classed as advanced and the PC version might prove to be a significant step up but based on the demo, no. No, it's not any better looking than its competition.

The resolution and image quality is holding it back, otherwise it looks like this engine is doing some impressive things. The lighting in particular.
edit - apparently there is a second map in rotation but it is very rare. Looks pretty cool.

But when put next to Killzone 3's MP Beta this doesn't seem to be groundbreaking for consoles. I appreciate anything non-UE3 though, so its welcome regardless.
Agree with you on UE3 though

I still says Gears of War II is the best looking Unreal 3 game (and its one of the best looking games full stop) 3rd party wise I've only been really Impressed by Mirror's Edge and Mass Effect II.
I'm not a fan of Unreal 3 tech at all
BTW, The Saturn is the silver Saturn ,1st shown off by SEGA Japan, before it was changed to Grey model
