If you want vs CPU you do it in training mode. You just pick the guys and then turn on the AI in the menu.

Capcom haven't been shy about saying that a lot of their games don't make any money without DLC these days.

The game is bare bones and did cost me full buck.

Outfits are going to be priced at 5 USD per team. So I have a gut feeling that Jill and Shuma are going to cost 5 bucks a piece at minimum. This will become one very expensive game for what it offers. You might have the choice to buy them or not, but for online play I think those characters are pretty much required to buy. Unless you want less variation and possibilities.

To be fair, they didn't charge for the modes they added to SF4 and SSF4, only for the costumes, which are very optional.

There's also talk that while they'll charge for Jill and Shuma, the other early character DLC might well be free. (The rumour is that Frank was dropped because he was a bit rubbish, and so they had to ditch a completed Marvel characters as well, and that when they DLC them back in there'll be a title update to fix what was rubbish about him).

Capcom do tend to put a lot of DLC out there, but very little of what they charge for is essential.

Guess the lack of VS CPU out of the box explains why the Shadow DLC pack is being released in March. At least it's free.

Stuff it. I'm waiting for this to drop in price. If they can't be bothered unlocking all the content on the disc, I can't be bothered buying it at a premium.
