Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars (3DS)

I really want this but I'm about to go from Jonny 1 game to Jonny 4 games (well 3 when Splinter Cell finishes on ebay) and I fancy some quick and simple titles to bash through so 2 of those are Rabbids and Monkeyball. I can see you can't just bash through this, it'd be nice to have something to sink my teeth into afterwards so I can appreciate it, reading a review made me understand it a little more and want it more as well. If it'd had multiplayer I might have got it instead of SF4 but I won't regret that at all, I'm looking forward to revisiting that game and I only bothered so I could experience multiplayer!

Getting fed up with black screen errors on this game now. Ubi or Nintendo need to sort it out asap as it's ruining the game for me. Had it 5 times now

All my black screen errors have been in this game as well, hmm...

Mind you, I did get 'An Error Has Occured' once and only once in Ridge Racer, but everything else has all been in this.

I think this is a device problem rather than any particular game. That's not to say it doesn't happen more in GR than other games, maybe it does but it's happened to people who don't even own that game.

I didn't have a single occurrence until I started playing GR. I have 6 other launch games I have been playing solidly for a week with not a single instance

This game is just incredible - and I'm loving it. Essential gaming for every 3DS imho.

Yeah, I'm on that skirmish now. Came down to me vs about 12 bandits and I was on the wrong side of the bridge to be able to move about enough ( I had enough movement that I could have made it to the other side but the bandits on the bridge blocked me). I died of course! Will have another stab (see what I did there?) at lunchtime.

Found a UI hiccup - I pressed the wrong button during the points allocation screen and ended up exiting without assigning all my points. There's no way to assign these points now. I hope they're not gone for good and that they stack up with whatever I earn in the next mission. Oh, this needs to be played on Elite difficulty unless you're a total numpty.

Didn't really like this which I was surprised about as I normally love turn based strategy games. Maybe it was the setting I really didn't get on with but I also found it really rough around the edges. On a plus note however I got ?30 trade-in for it at Game which I was very surprised about.

Have to say i am really enjoying this, after trying several of the launch games not not striking a cord with any of them, apart from Face Raiders i was glad i found something before my 3ds went on the dust gathering shelf.

While not my usual style of game i did enjot Advance Wars and i feel this has a bit more strategy to it, you can't just run in all guns blazing you have to think a lot about which team members goto which parts of the map as they all have very different skills and attributes.

This maybe a tad rough in places but for sheer gameplay i don't think anything that is out now on the 3DS comes close.

PS over 10 hours play not one black screen, but i did update my firmware and that is said to kill the problem.
