I think it would run on a Steam Deck easy, the only control thing I'd be concerned about is the constant need to turn around (which I use the mouse for). There must be some way of doing it though.

He's not around any more. Here's what happened...

Went to a house nearby, absolutely tons of stuff.

Killed this bald guy and then loaded up.

Unfortunately, I was overburdened with stuff and absolutely knackered. I didn't think it would be a problem as the area round my house was cleared out... or so I thought. Despite dropping my toolbox, I was just so physically weak that a zombie got me. I killed him too, but died only a few steps down the road. My injuries weren't infected, so he actually just died from bleeding out (therefore not becoming a zombie).

So I started a new character, Captain C.W. Jensen (I used to watch World's Wildest Police Videos a lot, if anyone asks) and headed out. The spawn house wasn't far away at all, so I headed over with a meat cleaver.

Undressed the corpse and swiped his toolbox.

Dumped the corpse in the abandoned house next door (didn't want it stinking up the garden).

Sadly, he was such a complete numb nuts that he managed to burn down the house soon after, got badly burned trying to put out the fire, ran into an office looking for medical supplies, set off the alarm and was swarmed by a dozen zombies. What an idiot.

        R.I.P. Pork Chop Cop.

Loving these anecdotes, by the way. You're making me want to play it!
