If YOU read what I said I actually pretty much agreed with you that what you were saying happens, all I said was that Uncharted 3 has a lot worse combat. Becuase it does, the combats in the third game is bloody awful.
And it's not the aiming, it's just poor level design.
To suggest someone has exaggerated something is the same as saying that they have represented something as being worse than it is, which isn't what I did, but your comment would suggest my version of what happened was some invention of my own mind. Both examples I gave were absolute fact, as both happened to me upon my replay of the game last week. Whether you agree with it or not changes nothing. But as per usual, if it doesn't go along with your opinion 100%, you dismiss it and come up with your usual non-coherent nonsense.

IN MY OPINION you exaggerated, sorry but thats my opinion and youre just going to have to live with that, even if it is as upsetting as it seems to be for you to comtemplate that someone might not agree.
And when am I ever non-coherant? are you trying to just insult me now? whats the point in that?
It wont work anyway. Im level headed enough not to worry what people on an internet forum think of me.Last edited by rmoxon; 13-01-2012, 15:07.

keep your alans on, guys - the game is pretty cobblers and not worth getting hot and bothered about (opinion)
I think most gamers would agree the 2nd one is a much better game (opinion)
On a side note - how many games does that guy that does drakes voice, now narrate?
hes turning up in video games nowadays, more than Alan carr does on Tv.... (opinion)

Incidently though I gave this a 7, I enjoyed quite a lot of the game. But the combat is awful and the game is disappointing compared to the other two.

Also the combat UC3 has got to be good compared with having your face eaten by killer crabs. Or even just losing a limb. And yet somehow the comparisons aren't actually increasing my enjoyment of the game... Not sure this 'Amy Jesus' game would help either, although what a title.
I think the big lessons here to take away from this are a) some people think the combat is good and b) some people don't. Would that be a fair assessment of where we've arrived? In the right ballpark?

I keep saying that, while bad, its not the really aiming but the fact that the combat sequences are poorly designed thats the problem. Ive said that about 20 times now In this thread.
I give up.Last edited by rmoxon; 13-01-2012, 18:22.

I think U2 was such a nice leap from U1 (Lets be honest that U1 was pretty bloody amazing for the time) that 3 was never going to receive the same plaudits. I really enjoyed the game, I liked the prequel elements to the story. The stand out level was the ship over turning after the pirate shot the glass ceiling, I can still remember the line "See you in hell Habibi" QUALITY! Each sequel has improved the character movement and the way they interact with the levels brilliantly. I'm glad to say I've not encountered the same aiming problem in 3 as others have, thank god! It far from perfect but some of the vids on youtube look horrendous. Its begging for a PC port for WASD n mouse controls lol.

The thing is, there's always the 'opinions' arguement which pretty much negates discussion on anything. That the game has scored so many consistant high scores in this thread and done so well without major criticism shows that whilst it didn't impact people like UC2 did (understandable) it was none the less well recieved and the aiming issue wasn't a problem for most. There will be those for whom the game isn't their cup of tea but to say the combat sequences are poorly designed (no matter how many times) pretty much shows evilthecatuk has hit the nail on the head. If the easiest entry gives you that much jip then it suggests a certain other explaination rather than the game being at fault.
