Because of visual fidelity, or lack of interactivity?

Can anyone confirm what languages come on the disc? I want to pick up the French release, but not if it's French only. Does the UK have French? Because if it does, then the French will likely have English. Probably.

Good grief, after moaning about being knocked off my path by squadmates in Battlefield 3, it turns out that the same ruddy issue occurs in this too.

I can't remember being afflicted by this at all in Uncharted 2, so quite why it's happening so prominently in the third game is beyond me - I've ended up being pushed off the platform I was standing on twice so far, and have been knocked aside to a lesser extent rather more frequently. On the whole, it also feels ever-so-slightly more restrictive than I remember Uncharted 2 being too which is slightly disappointing, with the worst occurrence of this being the

Young Indiana Jones Drake escape sequence

which requires you to do exactly what the game wants or it's a checkpoint restart.

Not to say it's not a ruddy enjoyable romp so far, though - stand-out moment in the first half was easily the

                            Chateau escape

which had some cracking moments, but I'm yet to experience anything as memorable as the train intro and entire set of Nepal chapters of the second game. I've only just hooked up with Elena Fisher, though, so there's still plenty of time for some killer sequences.

On the plus side, the script and voice-acting is as brilliant as expected and the visuals are predictably fantastic - some of the texture detail is astonishing really and there are plenty of "BioShock Intro" moments where you don't realise that the scene before you is actually playable. On the other hand, the general bad guys just don't fit the game in my opinion - they're ripped straight out of

                            the Matrix

in terms of appearance which looks jarringly out of place in some of the chapters. Give me the mercenaries of the previous couple of games any day.

But... yeah. It's more of the same, but when more of the same means more awesome it feels churlish to complain, seeing as no other game since Uncharted 2 has done visual spectacle and set-pieces like this. Alas, as it's more of the same, it simply lacks the jaw-dropping impact of Among Thieves - I'm still left grinning at the explosive stuff Naughty Dog are letting me play, but I can't help wishing they were showing me something more.

Played for the first time for a few hours last night.

I think maybe my brain wasn't fully engaged because I seemed to making a meal of the few basic puzzles - seeing them as more complex than they really were.

That might explain why I later suffered a nightmare in which I was back in maths class at school, and I had forgotten my scientific calculator.

Seems very impressive so far, I just hate the aiming of weapons though.
