Even better Charles, is the fact you can't do single player QTE without mouse or keyboard! Support 360 pad apart from QTE! How does that get past QA????? Not good for folk with PC connected to TV.

Yusss, worked it out! Conquest maps have 4 jets and they are different to the Rush ones, they let you use afterburners. If that was explained in the controls before I wouldn't have wasted so much time being confused.
Unlocked the rocket pods for the jet too, not so good though. Still have had most of my kills with the regular cannon and occassionaly with heat seekers. Hadn't played Conquest before today in BF3 but it's actually quite good. A different pace from Rush and different sections of map opened up at once help in giving some variety to the game.
I'm not really having a problem with people lying on the ground. Yeah, you see the odd person do it, but I just waste them usually anyway.Comment

How'd you get it. I've been raging that I haven't seen a 12x zoom yet in the game, only 8x.

Yesterday I had someone take me out, while I was the gunner in a helicopter, using fire from their jet as it buzzed by. I have no idea how he did it, but the copter took no damage yet he managed to off me right as I sat there. Even dying in this game is entertaining.
However, in my `f**k yeah!` moment of the day I took out a low flying jet with the bog standard RPG.
He slowed right down as he came across the beach map and I just planted him smack on - anyone who's seen me play GRAW will know that fast moving aerial targets are not my bag, so this was incredibly lucky a very skillfull move.

It's an early (ish) unlock for the SV98 I think? Powerful sniper rifle but it is bolt action. Good on Hardcore~Comment

Yep you beat me to it. Four jets in conquest maps, Kharg Island probably being the best as its so big.
The ballistic 12x scope is obtained after 10 kills with the SV98 and it's a beast. For the starting SVD and MOD M11 I think you need about 100 kills on those to get the same scope. Check battle log as it tells you there.
The more I play this the more I appreciate the balance they've put into the classes. In BFBC2 it was all about magnum ammo and getting all the guns unlocked. I haven't come across anything in this which couldn't be countered with something else. Of course sometimes you will get some buffoon spamming one tactic which may require team work to take them out but it's a rare thing overall.
All this and we get 4 more classic maps free in December. Really looking forward to that already.Comment

Dogfighting is fun. Took a hit, flew into the sun bailed out and took down the other jet with a stinger launched from my parachute as he flew after the smoking remains of my crushed aircraft. Hehe this is Battlefield alright!Comment
