Lucky for you I can't find an animated gif of the Will & Grace told-you-so dance :-)

Either way it still looks better than 2048 as the detail is no overdone.
yes 60fps with dips on an overclocked to 333 psp

That said, they did run the PSP at 333mhz on some games so technically you could cheat at say that Pure runs at 60fps!

I think I must be playing a completely different game than most of you.

I wouldn't say it 'ran like crap' at all. Framerate is a TINY little bit lower, but it's certainly not as major an issue as I would've believed looking at the last few pages. To me it's a non-issue, but I never had the pleasure of playing the original HD and Fury on the PS3.

It's brilliant, given I'd finished 99% of the game, levelling up and speed laps aside, I'm loving the new content to power through.

That's likely just a result of slow response time. There were a few studies recently that showed frame rate perception varies from person to person and isn't fixed across all people. Some people can detect frame variations even around 100fps whereas others can barely see a difference as low as 20fps. The better it looks at lower frame rates is an indicator of slow response time in the nerve endings and those people are likely to be worse at maths and sciences, for example. Anything that requires working things out. It's rarely a handicap - many of those people find good careers in more traditional roles like working in McDonalds and so on and go on to lead very happy lives. And slow response time only affects around 14% of the population anyway.

Some of that may be a lie I made up. Okay so all of it may be a lie.

You might not want to - there's no going back! WipEout is the best example of 60fps making all the difference.

Wow, I'm facing more straw men arguments than the VIP queue at a Wizard of Oz convention.

Silvergun X is the only person here I'd happily invite into my home without worrying he'd axe murder everyone in a fit of barely suppressed nerd rage. I've played HD and Fury on the PS3 a bit. They run a bit smoother. I've played them a bit on the Vita. They work fine. Be thankful you've got a core game you can play with a proper analogue stick on the bog, instead of a random poke-the-screen smartphone title.

Im with Cavalcade, back off you straw men and whingebags, it runs fine and i had no problems playing any track. As said looks better than most iOS game but i dont hear you all bitching about those games.

Like Dogg said, some people perceive framerate differences more than others. For those people it's obviously causing as issue and it's not surprising that the issue would be brought up.

Also some people have what's known as 'slow-eye syndrome'. It afflicts 27% of males across the British Isles.

Never sure which (if any) of your stats I should trust!

All of them are 100% accurate. But if you'd ever like me to verify any of them, just at least give me some notice so I can create a wikipedia page for whatever it is I'm making up.

just 'abit' - dont think so....

the difference between 60fps vs 30fps is night and day - go play Forza 4 on the single player (60fps) then watch the replay mode (30fps) and you'll see the difference. Or RR7/GT5 on the ps3 compared to ridge racer on the vita. Smoother, more fulid, easier on the eye, natural etc. Even play a COD game compared to another fps and the difference is evident

It seems to be a recent trend now with developers , giving us 60fps games like wipeout HD/ridge racer 7 on consoles, then chopping the framerate in half (or lower) for the vita conversions

                              not good

Amblyopia effects 1-5% of the population, so says wikipedia.
