Manhunt

If you want to rip apart Manhunt's gameplay dynamics then obviously it's not the most sophisticated videogame in the world.

But there's something about it... Like ICO, Rez, Silent Hill et al, the title manages to exceed the sum of its parts.

Exactly at first the game is disappointing in it's basic game mechanics, but get past this stage and work within them and it's a fantastic game. Being chased by four Hunters and trying to separate and then pick them off is so rewarding. Especially so with the absolutely fantastic voice work.

Also I've found the game opens up in scope the longer you play. The first couple of 'levels' lead you to believe it's going to be the same all the way through.
