Please could someone share the Scorpion HVT mission? I am really struggling to get 180 stars... Got the rest of them.

Its not that hard once you adapt to the controls being awful (having to click the cover button to go back out of cover is a terrible idea) and the fact the enemies are basically zombies who just run at you. The elite missions can be difficult depending on the map tho. I struggled with the covert missions til I realised they seem to be scripted to your movements and after a couple of tries you can go through them like the scene in Groundhog Day where Bill Murray robs the bank truck. Am enjoying it tho, good for short blasts.

I just got this and actually think the controls are great, I always press a button to snap out of cov in cover shooters anyway, but you can actually get out of cover here just by walking out so I don't see the complaint?, and I haven't noticed the a.I. Mindlessly running at me, Infact they seem quite smart and usually try to flank.

The enemies are always in the same place when you try missions, but this is a score attack game. Makes perfect sense to me.

              I'm enjoying it.

For those wondering Wether to get it or not I have to say that I think the demo level isnt actually a good representation of the game as its one of the missions that does not require you to play a specific way and I feel that fails to show the games strengths. It's the missions that have you focus on a specific style of play, be it the stealth or run and gun missions that really show how well the games mechanics actually work and the experience is a lot more fun becuase of it.

Its just a shame that those less focused missions exist really as they are really uneven and not well balanced enough for any particular style of play.

Only played the training mission (been busy on gravity rush) but I know this is gonna be great. Feels like socom and that's all I need. Portable socom with 2 analog sticks. Marvellous.

Ok. I'm really enjoying this. Clearly it isn't socom. It's much more dumbed down than even the fireteam bravo games iirc. But it's well suited to the vita. Very arcadey in that there's the temptation to go back and beat your score on mission you know you didn't perfect. I usually hate timed things in games but the timed missions here are exhilarating ! Couldn't do yesterday's daily challenge though need more skillz!

It's not dumbed down. It's stripped back. It's a pure game without any of the bollocks that clutter up other third person shooters. This is why it is so good.

Well excuuuuuuuse me! I did say I liked it! I just really liked all the bollocks that IMO made socom brilliant.

I'm Unit 13's leading internet defender. It's just instinctive, sorry. It's a brilliant game, but only a small fraction of the people who play it seem to understand what it is.

Oh I understand it and they did exactly the right thing with their design choices for the majority of Vita gamers. I'm possibly odd in that I don't really go for the typical handheld 5 minutes of fun gaming. I want full console games in my hand so I loved the socom fireteam bravo games. I have come to appreciate this for what it is though and this morning, being able to choose a 'quick' mission before I got out of bed was great.

                            I hope that's not a euphemism.

Downloaded this over the weekend for ?14.99 (using the Vita Inside signup code). Have played five or so missions so far, and finding it great fun. Like the mix of styles and the (relatively) bite sized missions. Plenty of levels left - hopefully they maintain consistency!

Am thinking of getting this while the PSN store sale is on until tomorrow with my voucher.

Just reading up on it however, and it seems that three of the mission categories don't sound too appealing to me - elite, timed and stealth. Now I'm sadly not the most patient of men on this fine earth and I tend to get easily frustrated with harsh time limits or missions which fail because maybe I didn't get into cover quickly enough.

Reading FSW's remarks on timed bits make me feel somewhat safer in my purchase, and hopefully what with the missions being "bite sized" even if I do fail them I won't feel like I've wasted the best part of an hour tackling it. Would be nice to have a game with some folks off here too. Have the game's launch problems been fixed now?

Gamespot's review also makes note of some elite missions being particularly unfair as well, last thing I want is a portable Demon's Souls!
