So my title screen has a new bit to it, Add-On Content, Purchase Songs, well i knew there was some DLC, so im curious what's on offer, clicked the screen, 2 minutes later im in a guess an in app store with 12 songs to purchase at 90p per go, so do people feel this is good value or just SE ripping it, im kinda tempted as i only paid 25 quid for it and im really enjoying it, but not sure if i really need the DLC.

I had a spare ?1 and bought one track from my fave music FF, which is 10. I honestly don't really think it is worth getting the DLC music tracks at that price as it certainly adds up if you want them all. What is in the game is enough really. I would just say maybe go for the one or two extra tracks you really like from your fave FF as not all are great anyway.

Played the demo of this today and it's absolutely beautiful. Will definitely be buying. I love the FF music and have all the soundtracks and their arranged albums up to about 11, which is when I stopped playing the FF games (it was really X-2 that did it), and this seems to use the music perfectly and the look is lovely. I'd pretty much buy any tracks they offer too.

Well I have played loads of this over the last couple of days and I still love it. For Final Fantasy fans, it's a wonderful little celebration of the music. The music has always been a highlight of FF and while I wouldn't have thought it lends itself naturally to a rhythm game, this works really well - it basically gives me something to do while listening to FF music, which can't be bad. It's amazing how much of a rich history of music there is with FF - back in the day, I had bought every OST and arrange album on CD all the way up to FFXI.

I haven't really got into the RPG elements and don't yet know why I would - the gameplay seems entirely based on the rhythm results...? But it's nice to have collectibles and the dark shriney bit provides a challenge with some variety and surprise tracks.

And I enjoy playing the FFXII and XIII tracks even thought I have never played the games, so it's not just nostalgia on offer. Makes me wish I had played them actually. Not sure I'd get the motivation to get a PS2 out but I'd like to play FFXII in particular.

Really nice game and I'll be buying all the DLC.

Very good game, I docked it a point for the dlc being overpriced (7/10 from me) when you compare it to other music games dlc (90p for one track theatrhythm vs 59p-99p for multi layer instrument and vox plus licensing costs (RB3) 90p per track is greedy in my opinion should have been 50-59p each or 12 for ?4.99

I know we live in the game DLC age, but the game is amazing in its own right, so you may never or want to touch that DLC, i think your being a bit over-critical as theres a huge amount of conent on day one.

Loving this, spending time so far on an individual FF game getting at least an 'S' in the series mode, then at least that on the FMS and EMS expert and ultimate scores...the BMS gets a bit crazy to be hitting those scores on day 1 !!

Just had a go on the demo on 3DS XL, and it was in my basket on shopto within about 10 minutes. Seems awesome. Can't wait to play more than the 2 songs on the demo

Adore this, GotY so far. Trying to triple S rank Expert tracks keeps me awake at night and the game is just full of charm. My only compliant is having to unlock the songs on higher difficulty, I'd rather have gone through series on Expert from the start.

                          Giant bump.
Am I right in thinking Curtain Call makes the previous game redundant?

I'm sure I read all the previous tracks were included in the new game..

All the tracks are included except for one (a FFXV promo piece maybe?). But as far as I know all the FMV movie tracks from the original 13 games are now converted to field tracks with no FMVs. New FMV bits are for new tracks I think. So yes, almost all the music is there but I must admit those FMVs alone would make the original worth a pick up at some point. That's if I'm correct on that - haven't checked it since release but that was the word leading up to release.

Can anyone confirm or deny my rantings?
