More fun times on this last night.

I checked out Lebowski's map and we did some exploration in the caves he'd been digging out. Sadly, I kept spawning empty-handed, miles away from the cave, at night and surrounded by enemies I couldn't see!

Again, it's really interesting to see what other people have been up to and I was impressed with the pointless giant tower he'd built!

When we came over to my map, there's not much to see above the ground as I've spent nearly all my time exploring the natural cave system under my house. We diverted some water onto lava to make obsidian then built a portal together. We ventured into the Nether...

It's jam-packed with enemies and it's really dark and scary. I legged it, but Lebowski stayed (and died). Then he had to go back for the things he'd dropped when he died!

    OK, so I'm a weasel.

I was really curious if the glitch worked and after a bit of faffing, we got it to work and I've got a trunk full of diamonds now. Beautiful diamonds. Mwah ha ha ha haaaaa!

I know it's cheating, but I'd rather spend my time building stuff rather than being stuck looking for rare materials. I'm tempted to glitch a chest full of iron ingots so I can build a roller coaster.

I'll probably just make a giant pair of boobs though...

Iron glitch you say? I wish i didnt know that exists, spent 8hours pretty much strip mining yesterday to build a mine rail across the sea I filled in with sand blocks i do now have a diamond pick, portal and solid gold suit of armour now tho! my world is getting flatter, see a lake fill it in, lave pool, fill it in, odd shape tower, climb and dismantle block by block!! Also, how do you befriend wolves? Throwing meat never worked and hitting them with it means a whole pack had to be culled!

If you want to rob him he keeps all his diamonds in a chest outside his house. was good fun seeing how others play as minecraft has always been a solitary experience for me makes me want to see how others are getting on with there building and exploring.

Spent a bit more exploring the underworld of Chimpzone at lunch.

I'm listening for the grunts of monsters and then digging until I find them and the inevitable cavern they're hanging out in.
It makes you wonder how long they've been waiting there for somebody to find them. What can they do in the dark whilst waiting. It's not like you can play I-Spy.

Anyway, managed to find another large section of branching caves, so big that I used all 64 of the torches I brought along!

I probably need to spend some time above ground and at least explore the rest of the island. I'd be quite pleased if I found a hatch with a Scottish guy in it calling me "brother".

Went into VPs game tonight to find he'd created a Hall with a glass roof. It maybe measures 20-odd blocks by 40-odd blocks. It's lit by rows of torches at various levels. A staircase is embedded into the wall.

When I joined, it was maybe 15 blocks down. When I left, it was probably 35 blocks down! On the wall there's about 8 rows of torches. The staircase is now onto the third wall. At various points, the walls have been sealed with glass, as caverns grow beyond the confines of this immense Hall. The glass roof and the torches really light the whole place up.

It's certainly impressive! It's simply a massive hollowed-out cuboid. When I left, we'd hit a new cavern full of exploders and nasties. It'll take some creative construction work to section that area off while the hollowing-out continues.

One of the most eye-opening things about this session was the rate of progress. At one point, I dug right into the floor to grab some coal. It went down about 6 levels below the existing floor, and was a bit of a mess. 15 minutes later, it was the 'floor', wide open and flush to the walls.

              Epic.

Your expression was good when you first jumped up onto the glass roof to reach the entrance

I managed to glass in all the big caverns and seal the water off to carry on digging. One of the blocked caverns had two creepers that ran about backwards and forwards then occasionally stopped to look up to the roof. One cavern stretchs round two of the walls so it needed a glass corner building.

Been playing this a lot over the last few days after a bit of a break. I kind of lost my drive with it when i finished my first tower. I decided to build myself a rail system that links my two settlements I had a ton of iron and quite a bit of gold and red stone so put all my stockpile into a nice powered mine track system.

It's all been about finding iron ore the last few days to make my track as big as I can. this has netted me my first diamond find so I can now mine obsidian to make my portal to the nether. I'm going to make a massive temple for my portal, I think the trick with this game is to always have a few projects on the go.

Some of us are still playing this ridiculous, pointless and brilliant game.

I popped onto Prinnysquad's map that he and VanPeebles have been working on for the last few weeks.

The first thing I need to mention is that they've built Nakatomi Plaza. It's a massive skyscraper that goes as high as the map allows and has a variety of floors, each with a different pattern on it. There's going to be some furniture eventually, but it's pretty impressive already.

I also had a tour of the biofacility, which is basically a reverse skyscraper that goes deep into the ground. This is where the sugar cane, trees and other plants are farmed.

Finally I paid a visit to their steel production area.

All of which is mightily impressive and completely different to what I've been up to.

I built a track long enough to get the relevant achievement, but I craved more. So I extended the track to go from one side of the map to the other. Then I built a sky tower and had a track go from the highest point allowed. Then I linked that up to the start of the map-long track, but went through hills and under water.

Finally, I'm trying to make a complete circuit, but whilst digging through an entire mountain, some caves opened up and now I'm exploring every inch of them, hunting the monsters and digging up the resources.

I love it when you find a cave system and it seems to go on and on. Reminds me of early Tomb Raider games that focussed on the exploring elements.

The roller coaster is near completion and I think I want to quit then!

I am still plodding through this. Everything I have done has been solely by me .... none of my friends seem to play this as they're all to busy with "Sheep Of Duty". I have yet to try the creative mode yet as I am still slowly working my way towards getting the final two achievements that I need (build a minecart track & nether portal). It seems if you switch to "crafting mode" with your save then you can no longer get the achievements, even if you later switch back to "survival mode"

I feel that my world is probably rubbish compared to some. But I would love to see what others on here have achieved. (I would appreciate a little help as well !!!! Obviously, I'd return the favour). I'm sure some of these worlds must be staggering by now! Please feel free to add "shiffy uk".
