Trying to install this from disc, after 2 hours it's on 30% . Going to download the client and see if that will work better.

      Digital download everytime for me.

Hoolak, you'd probably help a lot being a Monk as you could tank stuff with your martial arts and healing spells. Failing that, just wade in with a Barbarian and go for those health globes. Anything can work together actually.

Up to level 9 with a Demon Hunter and just reached the Royal Crypts. I know that Runic had a hand in Diablo 2 but D3 is looking and feeling a lot like Torchlight to me so far. Runs surprisingly well on my 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo laptop with an ATI Radeon HD 4300 graphics card too. Silky smooth and without any significant framerate drops.

Are you running at 60fps with V-sync? My FPS is all over he place.

Here's my low-level Witch Doctor build anyway... I hope to replace GotD with Haunt eventually once the HP return runes are unlocked.

Diablo III is a genre-defining action-RPG set in Sanctuary, a world ravaged by the eternal conflict between angels and demons.

I seem to only get off this game when the servers go down for maintanence, maybe thats deliberate to make people playing as much as me take a break lol Eitherway they've gone down again like yesterday at 3am, how inconvenient.. for me.

I've now reached Act III, level 26 Wizard, the Boss at the end of Act II is insane!!

I had a good fight vs. a huge Elite and a few Rares at the same time in the 'Fields of Despair/Misery(?)' last night. I nearly got bummed and killed for the first time, but my amazing kiting saved my ass. I then celebrated by dyeing all my gear bright green. Now I is proppa voodoo.

I've actually faired quite well with my Wizard thus far.

Didn't die at all on act one, even against the hard as nails end boss. Act 2 seems to be a different kettle of fish entirely however and feels like a difficulty spike. The build which saw me happily through act 1 seems completely ineffective here and I've died about 4 or 5 times in quick succession.

That said, my collection of yellow rares is growing quite nicely. Just a shame I can't equip any of the weapons I'm getting *grumble*

When I started playing this I was on my PC. I've since installed it on MacBook so I can play it while on my break when I'm in the office, but when I login my character isn't in the hero list. Anyone else had this problem?

It occasionally takes a few minutes to show up once you're logged in. Did you get a green tick on the 3rd option while the game was logging you in?

Can someone tell me how big this game is please? I mean, if you finish a normal playthrough, what are the chances you've seen everything, will your level continue from where you left off in your next playthrough. Just want to gauge replayabilty.

Replayability comes from starting the game again with your existing character on the tougher settings to get better loot and ultimately fare better in PVP when that roles around. Or you could start again from scratch with a different class. The story and quests would likely be the same though.

Completing the game on normal gets you rubbish gear. You'll need to have blasted through on Inferno a good few times to have seen everything.

The game is like Pringles, don't worry about that. I'd be more worried about how you can possibly stop playing.

So im thinking about picking this up today, not bought a PC game in years..... Tesco, Asda etc my best bet?

Also whats this like for getting together as "Friends", all being on the same server etc? I take it that more content comes as it gets further down the line also?
