I picked up legacy of kain blood omen as I remember despite the load times really enjoying playing this. it's a top down afair with dungeons and environments to explore, with new powers and abiltys being unlocked as you progress.

The exploration was what hooked me back in the day and it did a few intresting things, like To regain energy in this you suck the blood of enemy's or npcs, I remember thinking it was ace at the time that you could suck blood across a room. The character narrates his journey too which I remember enjoying also.

But by today's standard It has some very annoying repeatative sound bites the levels don't seem to hang together and it all seems very linnier, it hasent aged well as it has very bad graphics too. Not sure if I should persevere or consign it to the history books.

I'm in a pickle. Just started playing Tomb Raider 2, but am now unsure if to play on my Vita or my PS3. Ideally I would play on both, and switch whenever I wanted to. But as transferring my save files is borderline impossible, I have to choose a console and stick with it. The game looks better on the Vita due to the smaller screen size, and I greatly prefer the digitial d-pad as opposed to the anlogue one on the dualshock 3. The latter requires uncomfortably much pressure to work properly in an old game ike this. The trouble with playing on the Vita however, is that the screen is just too dark. Even with brightness at max, I often struggle to see what's going on. Even though TR2 is a pretty dark game, this really shouldn't be an issue. Right now I almost want to buy the old PS1 game and play it on my CRT, but I won't get my hand on that in any less than a week at best.

I thought it was as simple as transferring the save or memory card across over USB using the Content Manager?

I honestly haven't tried it, as my USB cable is hard to get out of the cabinet where it charges my Vita. So unplugging it and doing the transfer every time I want to play on a different machine isn't really sn option for me. I'm also still scarred from trying to do the procedure on a PSP, which was quite a process. Seems like I'm sticking with my Vita for now, hoping I don't run out of flares.

            Edit:
I was hopeful that I could transfer Theme Hospital or my version of Alundra that I bought with a US account (neither worked), so I hooked my Vita up to my PS3. I think I managed to transfer some PSOne saves from the PS3. It asked me where I wanted to save them, and I had to choose between saves created for other PSOne games on the Vita (namely "Tomb Raider" or "Tomb Raider 2"). I chose one of them, and hoped everything would work. Booted up one of the games which saves I had transferred (Crash Bandicoot). It seems the Vita creates a new virtual memory card for each PSOne game you play. I managed to import the save file which was placed on the "Tomb Raider memory card". So now the file is placed in both the Tomb Raider, and the Crash Bandicoot cards. Next I tried the same with Crash Team Racing. Upon entering the Memory Card function by holding on the touch screen for a while, there was no cards to import from. Tried it several times without luck. So the import service seems spotty at best.

On my PSP to transfer saves I ga to load the game up first so the PSP made a save file for it, then transfer the save across. Tried that?

Yeah, I was in each of the fames when I tried importing the file. It's still on the Vita according to "application data", but just not available to import into the game. Doesn't really matter though. The whole process is to cumbersome for me to be using it. Just using a single machine for each game instead.

Is there any options regarding using the backscreen as R2/L2? I keep accidentally using my flares in Tomb Raider, and it's pretty uncomfortable to not be able to touch the back touch pad at all. If I could decrease how much of it that's active would be a tremendous help.

And also, the speakers on the Vita are pretty decent for its size. Remember back when I intended to play throughh Final Fantasy 8 again my PSPGo, as soon as the intro music started I knew I couldn't play the game with so thin sound. So far the sound has been great, good enough to replicate PSOne music at least.

Why the Hell is RE2 not compatible with Vita you mean I have to plug my Vita in? Surely all Hell will break loose.

Despite being a 2 disc game, I don't think the download for both discs is even as big as 1 single whole disc. It was just on separate discs for coolness factor.
