Couldn't resist this so it's coming tomorrow. Can we fight bosses together online and such like?

I'm not been able to find info on the Link features for the Western release. The Japanese one originally was purely offline, but then they released DLC that added the online bits and screenie function. I'm imagining the same will happen with this.
You can play the game with up to 2 other people, but not the story chapters, just free adventuring. Yes, there are bosses like the ice dino a few posts up to fight together as well.

About 4 hours in so far, just been wandering about killing stuff and harvesting anything that moves. Spotted a couple of bosses i went over & gave them a whack but i did 0 damage so i ran off pretty sharpish afterwards lol. Been crating up the lesser enemies & flogging them to the guild counter, it's pretty compelling so far it's suprising how much time it eats up just exploring.
My character so far

Now 7 hours in & it's like crack i can't stop playing the amount of content is making me dizzy. Swapped lives again spent a few hours mining & now im chopping trees, one thing i have yet to work out is how to use the airports as travelling on foot takes a while to get anywhere i know you can fast travel but i don't seem to be able to do it between towns. Then again i have only just made it to the rather wonderful port town with it's lush tropical enviroment.
Upgraded the bag to 500 and now working on my cupboards as i love collecting everything, loving that each item has a nice illustration it makes it a joy to play. Managed to mine a massive blue crystal in the blue cavern it turned into a big red item, does it respawn or is it a one time only thing?

Finally got hold of this in the last few days, have been playing the first few hours as a fisherman and now have moved onto miner. I plan to get all the 'harvesting' skills first, then move onto crafting. Quick question about bags and storage, I've chosen a bigger bag and a biger storage cupboard, but I hadn't reached the limit of either, I assume the bag is what you can carry in your inventory? And whe it says 200 items limit it means 200 categories or 200 things? As in 10 of the same fish take up just one slot right?

200 categories, yes. Once you get to more areas you'll fill up pretty quickly.
One thing of note, try to take on as many quests from people as you can. You'll get notification of when you've fulfilled each one, so you can just wander about doing what you want to do and still finishing them.
Remember to go back to your Life Master for each skill every once in a while so you can level up in that Life.

Just hovering near the 20 hour mark at lv38, reached master level for my miner but not as high with everyone else. Seem to be progressing through the game not too bad so far in Japanese, upto chapter 5 in the story. Bought 2 houses so i can use them to fast travel a lot quicker than taking the airship to porutoporuto all the time. Slowly but surely some of the bigger trees & gems are finally giving up to my axe & pick. Although the dungeon off the main beach area has blue trees i can't even make a dent on, the shell dungeon is a little easier though. Love the beach area near porutoporuto it's just so relaxing to explore.
