So, I just replayed all of Infinity, I enjoyed it much better the second time around. It's a lovely looking and crafted game, the fact it's fps mechanics aren't as refined as others doesn't bother me at all as they work fine and aren't the hook of the series anyway. Burial at Sea Ep1 though did lose me a little, it seemed to struggle to line up its setting with events. Ep2 really saw the Infinity arc tail off, the simplified stealth not working well at all. However, once you get access to weapons again it lifts massively tying up both Columbia and Rapture brilliantly to a touching and reflective conclusion. Without doubt the three games and three DLC expansions have accumulatively made Bioshock probably my most loved franchise of this whole generation and I hope 2K Marin can make Bioshock 4 something that is worthy. Whilst the series individual components might not bear scrutiny, the whole will stay in my mind for countless years.
