I'm about 5hrs in and it doesn't feel much like SR anymore to me, most of the time it reeks of Crackdown. Which is to say, still bloody awesome fun

I am on Xbox as are Evil and Family.

You and FSW should co-op this, unless he is going all PC!
I'm not sure you want to do the PS3 version if you have the choice of formats, the framerate is even lower than 360 and the resolution is like 960*720. This is thanks to the PS3 port being outsourced to High Voltage Software, the team responsible for Zone of the Enders, so it runs way worse than the PS3 version of SR3

That probably wouldn't stop it being a riot , even on PS3, but worth thinking about.

I've never played crackdown, but I had a quick go of crack down two the other day I I thought that game was attricious! It felt like a modern day Carmageddon (sp). Although, I really did enjoy the control scheme and the whole experience of saints row 2 and 3, so a slight departure from those can only be a good thing... As change is good for the series...

Aww man! I really want to keep away from this as GTA V is just around the corner & this would just get left behind.

I absolutely LOVED Saints The Third. It was fun fun fun - everything that the disappointing GTA IV should have been.
Saints 4 looks even more mental & fun than 3 was . Will defo pick it up as soon as GTA V gets stale

It's barely like GTA in this game.

The character creation is amazing in this game

Been playing it on the PS3 and it's fine. You get used to the framerate (kind of like EDF).

This gif sums up my feelings on this game:

                  GOTG more like

Me and fry have clocked 20 hours on this in 2 sittings, I haven't hammered a game this much probably since Halo 2.
                  Scary

Right at the end of the final missionand the f***er crashes. Not redoing that. In the end though, like the game before, it's a very confident and fun game. Presumably next time the game will revert to being more GTA like so hopefully less emphasis on the obscene number of collectables and a larger main line of story missions (and better car handling) but bar those small things Saints Row V will be very much worth watching for.

It is glitchy at times, just like the other games, we found that if either of us were logged into the community site it would all go wrong and freeze on menus etc.

We've gotten to a particular point where despite having played the game together for the entire time, it is only awarding achievements for the story to the host. Annoying.

What does the Dubstep Doomsday Button do in the GOTG version?

Hmmm... It doesn't look like it affects the game at all.

I was hoping it was a USB button that called down Dubstep death from above!

no amount of crazy plastic could make up for the actual in game craziness.
If you love games then you'll love this game , it's so chock full of gaming references you can't help but laugh.

If you have no intention of playing it or don't mind this not being a surpise, I'd take a look at this video, which is part of a mission later on in the game. It's amazing and your actual created character is visible and fully customized even during this section, I was playing mine as french She-Hulk.
