This game has to be by far the funniest i have played in a very long time. Nobody does humour quite like Rockstar, the amount of times im am genuinely laughing out loud is just brilliant. There are just so many hilarious parodies, i think this could be one of the reasons GTA's dont come along very often simply because the amount of effort that goes into this stuff must takes months in itself and is quite simply why GTA is the king of open world sandbox games.

Another brilliant sequence i just experienced was i was following a car i really liked and it turned into a car park, drove round and parked up, i watched the driver get out then when his back was turned i got in and the guy turned round to give chase lol. Just brilliant experience to be able to do this and just so random.

Cheers for that didn't notice that option

I was going to post the same thing. Was really frustrated with the gun and driving controls but setting the vehicle camera height, reticule to complex and aiming to free-aim actually makes this an even better game than the default settings. So much so I'm wondering why they aren't the default settings?!

Loving this so far. 18% in and only scratched the surface but its a huge leap over the stagnant mess that was IV. You can tell where they've learned lessons from RDR and Max Payne 3. Everything is as good as it can be, which isn't saying its perfect but still its great.

I'll be playing this for a while but seriously I hope there is a Next Gen version in 6 months or so. This is that good I'd replay it.

Nice, I'll change the exact same options tonight. I also invert Y as otherwise I'm a drunken mess - does anybody else still do this?

Is there any way to tweak the graphics (PS3)? I'm not sure whether it's me, or my TV, or I'm sitting too close (USD charge distance), but the jaggies and flickering edges are way too blatant. I understand that they turned off blurry mode, but a little AA might be nice. Maybe I'll fiddle with my telly settings later.

Otherwise, great! Failing missions quite frequently (due in part to not paying attention to the requirements), but the restart points are MUCH improved so it doesn't feel like a burden. Driving also feels way better.

            Currently on the

            chase the boat

mission, in which I have no idea how to

            aim and shoot while driving

but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Is anybody going to complain about the lack of online from the off? If it was another game, I'm sure people would be moaning.
              Kept you waiting, huh?

You're right this forum needs more complaining.

I think Rockstar done the right thing with online. Let people get used to the game world, its a massive map afterall, and appreciate the work that has gone into the single player. In two weeks i should be ready for online.

Done right I'm sure some will get some fun from the online but it's not something I'm interested in. Took 8 hours for me to get to Trevor, hell of a first impression and interest use of characters (for those who've seen it). Now 19% in and only about 20% of the way through main missions. Out in the rough and small towns now and feels like a whole new game again. So far, so GOTY

Spent about 6 hours playing it last night, a lot of which was just driving around exploring the world. Flew a couple of planes, bicycled along country lanes and took a BF Injection (classic!) off roading on some highlands.

                      Did about 7 missions too.

So far, it's fully living up to my expectations. Great script and probably the best open world ever.

I believe I'm 6% of the way through lol. I'm really taking my time with this one. I've been waiting long enough to play it.

Apparently there's still loads of stuff to do after you've finished the 69 story missions. Something Rockstar really wanted address after the last game.

I'm still really enjoying this put about 15 hours into it.
Struggling with the controls of the plane and helicopter trying to earn my wings with Michael didn't have an issue with any of the driving controls until now wish the sensitivity wasn't so harsh on the flying vehicles
In general a cracking game shame I'm going back to work tomorrow

As you level up the flying ability it becomes easier. Trevor is the best pilot by default though I've yet to try the flying school (it's just become visible on the map).

Really really enjoying this now, as more options become available to me (weapons, missions, other things to do) I'm liking it more and more. From the sounds of it story wise I'm in the same spot as crazytaxinext, loving this section of the game! Getting a dune buggy or bike, putting it in first person mode then going full pelt across the landscape will never get old.

It's difficult to articulate how much I love this game. I'm enjoying just driving around and watching the sun go down (something that would, ironically, bore me in real life).

Does anyone know if you can create your own radio station and add your own music to the game?

LOL yeah. But if in real life if we were driving an R8 in L.A during sunset that would be different, instead we're stuck on the M1 in rush hour on a friday afternoon.
