PES 2014 review

Better, but not great. Finding a lot of instances where a player isn't reacting to the situation and it can be hard to switch to that player in the traditional way.

For example, the keeper saves, parries it out towards my player for a simple tap in. The ball is trickling towards my player, so all my player needs to do is run at it, but instead he hasn't realised that he is taking part in an actual competitive football match. I can't switch to him. He is gently jogging towards the ball singing a Carpenter's song.

That was just one out of about 5 instances across 3 matches I played.

I think I have been spoilt by FIFA's fluid control or I was thinking that little frustrations were always evident in PES, but only now I don't have the patience to look past them.

Had some amazing shots in this though. Scored some nice goals. However, With all the goodness going for it, the game seems to at least drop one or two annoyances per match that reminds me that this is a game, and one not yet finished or properly play tested by its creators or something.

I spent 3 hours on it last night, it was damn fun but full of errors like you said. I went of Fifa afterwards and it's sublime in comparison.

I still haven't played Fifa14. Not a lot of people play it on these forums? That thread is dead.

No, it's great. More because Fifa 14 is a marked improvement I play it miles more alone than I ever did.

Ah I see. I tend to dabble in the Be a Pro/Become a Legend in these games, but soon enough I'm mingling with the humans in Seasons etc. any new features added to Seasons?

This is so crap now.

Nearly every online game I start quits at kick off and gives me an error that the game has been abandoned due to unforeseen circumstances.

Unforeseen circumstances being code for Konami are poo.

lol, I logged in today and got a message that I am banned?!!

What the hell Konami. WHAT IN THE HELL.

These guys really are jokers. Honestly don't know what I have been banned for...must be something to do with reinstalling the game and requesting a new password or something, that's the only thing I've done differently. It's not like you can even abuse people on PES2014, it would take too long considering the crappy message system.
