Pete, what components and specs has your PC and how good does BF4 run in terms of resolution and fps?

      ATI Radeon HD 7900
      AMD Quad Core 3GHz
      8Gb RAM

I'm running at 1080p, everything on Ultra and it runs pretty well. I couldn't tell you what the FPS is, less than 60, but it's perfectly playable still. I do get some slowdown but very rarely.

The campaign in this is much better than BF3 - a lot of the combat areas are much wider than before so you get a little more freedom. You also get much more choice in weapons which makes it more fun. I'm only three missions in....which appears to be about half way through... but it's pretty fun so far. It's still trying to be CoD rather than its own thing though, so don't expect much more than a linear but holy-****-impressive FPS.
Only playing campaign as I don't seem to be able to get into any multiplayer game at the moment...

It's not battlefield if it doesn't make you buy a new GFx card! I had upgraded machines for BF1942, BF2, BFBC and BF3.

          This time I'll try a ps4.

I guess most of you are waiting for the next gen console releases, you are all in for a real treat as this game pretty much puts everything right from BF3...except the fact EA and DICE released the game way too early to beat Ghosts to market.

Hopefully by the time the consoles arrive they will have patched it enough to be stable, but so far it has been a huge mess of a launch. Yesterday they put out server release 7 - that's seven updates in ten days. Somehow when the game launched it was less stable than the beta was, last week it was difficult to even finish a round without being dumped back to desktop (and losing all your stats). Frequent sound glitches, general spawning issues where you can die before you even get control (previous BFs avoided this by giving you a few seconds of invincibility, until you moved) or even times where you spawn under the map.

However, I was playing it last night and other than some horrendous lag on a couple of servers (seriously bad, the kind of lag I used to see on dialup) it seemed massively improved. There is still sound and spawn issues, general balancing that needs sorting but it was massively fun and I was able to get through multiple rounds without a single crash. I'm still rubbish at it though.
