Just to balance the argument, I'm not a fan of KZ. I played this ones single player and enjoyed it, some clever ideas but ultimately a big standard shooter- nothing wrong with that though. A solid 7/10, and certainly much better than 3 which I finished a few weeks ago and was pap.

I've nearly finished it, and it has been enjoyable... until the last few hours where the game just decides to chuck an endless stream of enemies at you until you tick off objectives which are neigh on impossible to do because of said endless stream of enemies and terrible sign posting to give the player any idea on what to actually do.
Just because you have nearly finished a game, does not give Devs the right to just suddenly make it neigh on impossible to finish, the difficulty spike quite literally comes out of no where and with no real sign posting on how to get past certain points it can all become very frustrating. Which is a shame as I was actually quite enjoying it in places.
There are moments where you can see that KZ: SF could become a really decent shooter, but it spoils it all by the endless array of cheap tactics by the end of the game, it's almost like the devs just gave up on ideas and decided to be lazy by making it mega super hard.
Now I hear the argument that too many people who are used to games like COD are just struggling with not being held by the hand, but there is a real difference between an actual enjoyable challenge and unfair mechanics.
However the graphics are quite incredible and I quite enjoy the MP. Certainly not the best FPS game I've ever played, but not a terrible one either. Worth a bargain bin pick up but I wouldn't have spent ?50.00 on it knowing it was going to turn out like this. Just my 2 cents on the subject really.Last edited by darkangel; 16-12-2013, 22:15.

I'm enjoying KZ. It's a poor man's Halo, but stunning to look at and has some nice ideas. Multiplayer is fairly decent. Single player has some neat moments, then back to rinse and repeat simplistic shooting. I'm finding it hard to put my finger on what's missing - it's like someone took Perfect Dark and stripped out all the gadgets, meaty combat and challenge.

Sony just needs to boot these talentless hacks. These guys suck. Insomniac created something MUCH better on a tight schedule and low budget (the great and underrated Resistance 3). I actually start to think I'd rather had Resistance 4 instead of this ****. SF is not even Halo at all, the levels are broken up and all over the place. So here you are in a city being hurt... and BAM you're here infiltrating a space vessel. The shooting isn't good, I thought it was but there is absolutely ZERO recoil.
I am just annoyed by Guerrilla. They AGAIN failed to tell a decent storyline, and again the pacing is way off. Killzone 2 was a fluke, and that wasn't perfect either. They just can't create something that sticks with the gamer. Without Sony they created Shellshock which was dog ****, they're average.
I've put SF up for sale but most of those sites don't even have a PS4 section yet, FAIL.Last edited by saturn-gamer; 19-12-2013, 22:03.

I was wondering whether it was just me, I'm jumping into the series fresh, having never played any Killzone before. I'm just not invested int he story. But yeah, pretty game, yet ultimately soulless and void of any life. Generic to the extreme.
