But hey it's really fun and there is nothing else that plays quite the same.

That doesn't count for anything though...

Continuing from what i said before it is massive fun. My only gripes are the initial load times but hopefully that will change come retail and I think they need to cut the timer down to around 1 min after a match.

Got into a few matches now and up to level 7 or 8, it's really fun tearing around the maps and bouncing off walls etc. They've done a great job with the movement as almost immediately I felt at home with the controls. It all just feels 'right', they've obviously playtested the hell out of this.

The time in lobby before the next match, followed by the load time of the map (as mentioned above) is really poor though, hopefully that can be sorted before release. Other than the connection to server being lost frequently when trying to join a game and the load times, this beta is surprisingly solid so far.

My main issue though is that the fluff on the outsides of the game - the perks, the nature of unlocks etc - is far too familiar to Call of Duty. The game is being hyped up as the next big thing so it is a bit of a shame it has done so little to change the 'grind' formula. I got sucked into the whole concept back in the CoD4 days, but I've seen it so many times now that this constant head-patting, drip-feeding of unlocks is all too predictable.

It's fun enough to make me want to play more, and I'm really interested in what the multiplayer campaign stuff ends up being like.

yep it's fun and feels sort of fresh. for now. i wonder how long this fun will last for me. i wouldn't be surprised if my interest in the game wears off while playing the beta.

this game would really have benefited from an Offline mode, even if just giving me mostly low level AI to play around and test my loadouts. a co-op mode with simple missions building on the different tactical roles of the Titans would also have been nice...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not a demo, How do you know there isn't a training arena or the ability to create a private lobby to run around in?

that's what i was hoping for as it shouldn't be much effort to incorporate such basic offline game mode. but as far as i know it's already official the game will be online-only. besides they would have long communicated this to silence the critics don't you think?

maybe there's hope for a patch or DLC if enough players complain about the lack of offline play. which i doubt.

I like this, it's all out carnage and it's nice not to die every 5 seconds like cod/bf. There's a lot of strategy in the combat. I love the shield and how it reflects bullets back to your opponent. Great stuff

It's loads of fun and that's what matters most to me , but I must say I think the graphic are very average and there is tearing too .

Private Matches will be possible post launch .. When is currently unknown. This game screams private 6vs6 games.

for private matches you need to be online too and you surely wont be able to play with or against bots...

Yeah you will need to be online, its an online only game ....

But once private matches are possible you should at least be able to walk around the maps, without actually having to join a game as such.

I was just pointing out that this game needs a private match option. Being able to take 6 with you into a game is one thing, having a completely private experience is what this game was designed for. Not to mention they will need it for tournament / MLG / Esports type events as well.

I've sunk like 6 hours into this. Love it.

Quite tactical when you want it to be

I think I've had more fun in the few hours of playing this than Battlefield 4 since launch.

Have put some time into the One and PC versions...and the One feels like the most fun. Hard to pinpoint why but I found myself enjoying it more.

No problems getting into any games either, unlike the PC one.

the devs claim the 360 version will be different from the PC and XO versions but don't give any further detail. maybe there is still hope for offline gameplay then. i would prefer the 360 version over the PC version just for the sake of having offline game modes and most likely the better, more stable online experience.

how long is the wait in-between matches on Xbox One?
