I've spent 10 hours+ on this beta test and I personally think it's fantastic, but I really do worry about the Smart Pistol's effectiveness in Attrition. I think the gamemode of choice for me will be Hardpoint Domination.
The reason I say this, is it's entirely feasible to become MvP on most of your Attrition matches by focusing on NPCs. Give yourself Stim, Minion Detector, and Smart Pistol (along with Prosthetic Legs burn card if you have it) and you'll completely skyrocket your attrition score VERY easily, as well as being first to fall by an absolute mile.
I've done quite a few videos and a few hours of streaming where I've completely dominated attrition matches with minimal focus on other players/titans so I'll upload these on YouTube as soon as I can. I kinda like that you can do this, in all honesty, as it really does stop Attrition being just Team Deathmatch, but the fact that you can just run around non-stop, instalocking on NPCs and headshotting everything with the smart pistol makes it a little too easy.

Looks like I'll have to change my point of emphasis now as you've said that.

Your rodeo days are over when more people start opting for electric smoke. I always have it on, then when someone does rodeo I disembark 50% of the time my titan gets them, 25 I get killed and the other 25 I kill the them. It is a huge gamble to do it.
This game is amazing however all of my past doubts are a thing of the past and can't wait for more game modes and levels. Think my Xbox will be a Titanfall box for the foreseeable future.
Rushing into a group of titans deploying smoke and going all out is so much fun, took down three titans at once doing this + nuclear eject. When you get the bigger nuclear explosion burn card it is deadly.
Burn cards are also a great addition, makes each game that little bit different and mixes things up.
The only gripe I have is the jump kick, this need to not be a one hit kill from the front. Whoever made that decision is a fool.

If someone is rodeoing you can also opt to eject (triple tap X) and it will shoot both of you into the air. I find myself using that more than dismounting as the enemy always tends to do the same once they see you stop. Electric smoke is awesome though.
Been messing around a lot with the smart pistol and grenades lately as it locks onto them when you throw them. Shoot around corners? Yep.

Yeah the smart pistol and grenade combo is going to be a crazy technical combo for the pros.
I had a few great games with the Smart Pistol last night, just hanging back and using it to accrue points to bring in your Titan in AI mode.
I do love me some rodeoing

Video's currently processing but it'll be available here. Smart Pistol OP
Edit: Okay so I'll just put the unedited version up. It's a Shadowplay recording so it's the last 10 minutes, skip to 3:10 for the game in question.

Well played... loving the smart pistol personally and I dont think its OP, it just takes some practice, some skill and therefore kudos to anyone who can use it proficiently.
That 3-shot lock-on required to take down pilots is the main flaw or issue that needs practice with for me. Invariably I get killed before I get the full lock and if you fire too early you're toast anyway.
