This handles quite a bit like F-Zero GX. I can see me liking this (unlike any other in the series).

Hoolak, new vehicle parts are unlocked every 50 coins initially, then every 100 coins once you pass 1000 coins in total, these can be from cup races or time trial. It is well worth winning cups (can be on 50cc if you like) with different characters to unlock the other characters yes.

You can with MK8 from the Mario Kart TV menu. I'm hoping for something similar with Bayo 2 as well.

Had a look at the world record for Mario Stadium and there seems to be some hopping trickery going on post-drift. Anyone know what that is?

It'd be nice if friends of friends could join lobbies. Also, when everyone selects 'random' it should just instantly pick a track instead of doing the roulette. Apart from that the online functions are perfect in my opinion - nice and simple with no other needless cack.
