Well finally cleared the hard raid with 5 level 30 German players, we destory Atheon in only a couple of turns.

I'm stuck at a 29 with 3/4 till 30. Can't really do much till next week so this game is begin to become a Tuesday only event for me now. As I need one more piece of Raid gear to reach 30, either the helmet or gloves.

Hard raid was a bit of a bummer too as I only got the Atheon sparrow and nothing else from the whole raid, Begining to think that the raids drops aren't random either, as I keep get good weeks followed by a bad week.

i did a ton of stuff last night too took a group of low levels all the way to Atheon, finished the nightfall the weekly and the daily and even got to bed before 1am. The nightfall strike this week is super easy if you have a hunter with blade dancer levelled up. (We even found it easier than the weekly). Arc burn is fantastic as you can smack the crap out of enemies one hitting Minotaur with the blade dancer super is crazy, arc grenades and any arc weapons also do silly damage too, i had a blue sniper riffle with arc and it was doing 8000 damage to, it made short work of the Arrcon priest too.

The raid gave me two raid weapons this eve too, a Legendary void sniper called Praedyth's revenge that dose extra damage to oricals and a shot gun called found verdict, that has Arc damage that dose extra damage to Oricals too

Lockout is sort of lame, did 2 Hard Raids yesterday as they took only like an hour each. Best things I got out of it was Timebreaker and Hezen Vengeance.

They need to lower chances on things you already got. Sitting on 3 Raid Helmets now... Really, other dudes were begging for raid gear and I have 3 full sets yet i'm still waiting for a Vision of Confluence/Praetorian Foil/Fatebringer

Time to start levelling up a 2nd character so you can double your raid rewards! I've been levelling up a 2nd character this week and am already up to level 27 (almost 28) thanks to saving hunter legendary/exotic armour items I acquired with my warlock. I won't lie - it's a chore, but once it's done it's great being able to get even more out of the raid each week. You can also double up on daily, weekly, and nightfall. I can drop-in and give you a hand doing this with my lvl30 warlock. I had another friend help me for some of the story missions at the weekend and it makes the whole process slightly less tedious.

Yeah you're right bcass time I did that this week, not much else to do and it means I'll be able to run the raid three times a week.

If I need a hand I'll drop you a bell, I'll blaze through the story first. Do my Warlock first then Titan.

My 2nd character is now up to lvl28, so when you start your next new character I might start fresh again with you to start a 3rd (and final) character - a titan. My lvl30 warlock got a legendary engram yesterday that turned into legendary titan boots, which now gives me a full set of legendary titan armour. Should take less than a week going through it together in the evenings.

I wasn't going to start a 3rd character, but I've done the equivalent of playing through the raid 3 times this week - once on normal with lvl28 hunter, and once on hard, getting double drops, with lvl30 warlock. And apart from chatterwhite and timebreaker all I got was shards and energy, which is a total piss-take, so I'm adamant to maximise raid loot with 3 chars a week now.

7 shards away from lvl 30 and it keeps giving me ascendant energy this game sure knows how to troll you no doubt i will reach lvl 30 just as they up the lvl cap to 32 and have to get 4 new pieces of armour to get there, lol.

I finally got to 30 last week, but not with the armour combo I would like. The perks are better with a different combo, but I can't get to 30 with it.

I bought the PS3 download version off PSN, which also entitles you to download the PS4 version for free. Does anyone know if this also applies to the DLC? Also, when I download the PS4 version, will I still be able to play the PS3 version?

bungie release the patch and sony takes PSN down for maintenance. You just couldn't make this up.

It is. Totally regretting getting this game on a Sony platform now. Performing maintenance for six hours during peak (UK) time is unforgivable. They did this not that long ago as well. Apparently you could still play games if you were signed in to PSN before 5pm, so I left my console on beforehand. I get to the console at 8:30pm and Destiny says it needs to update, so I did the update, which signed me out of PSN to install the patch once downloaded, which then meant that I couldn't sign back in. Incompetence on a colossal scale.

Give that sony platforms have content exclusivity until later next year, I'm happy with a little bit of maintenance here and there as a trade off.

Thank god we get the dust palace strike, less chance of valus t'@#%&*k!

The Dust Palace strike is easily the worst strike in the game though. The bosses are crap. Everywhere reporting that the EU PS3 version is still offline, and has been offline since 5pm yesterday. Game reports error "BOAR" but non of the fixes on Bungie's site resolve the issue. Total f*ck-up. Bungie seem to have serious quality control issues at the moment.

Have you ever played an mmo? This is nothing. The more content an update adds the more downtime is needed.

The patch was meant to be available for download yesterday afternoon, and has only just (this afternoon) been released on the EU stores for the PS3. It looks like it was an oversight by Sony after the PSN maintenance. Still, Bungie are dumb for releasing a major patch on the same day that PSN goes down for maintenance.
