    - I HATE the Halo style PvP and can't believe this is part of the coop experience ladder. 7 minutes of PvP was enough for a lifetime. Not original at all, and not my cup of tea.
    - Remote play works very well indeed
    - The story is bobbins
    - Gunplay is quite fun, AI no better than Halo 1. (Still better than many FPS, but nothing new here.)
    - I enjoyed taking down the tank, which was maybe a random event.
    - It's not open world enough. Invisible walls in a 500 Million USD game. Brilliant. :/

So after a few evenings with the game I am feeling a bit let down. As it stands the game is playing like a solid 6/7 out of 10. Hopefully it will open up and be far better in the hours to come.
Can't argue with most of those points. However, was roaming around with abused dog (some one on here i forget now, i want to say golgo) we was messing around doing some missions in the free roam mission of old russia, then an event happened, tank drops down, all hell breaks loose and everything in the game just clicks .

got your invite last night capcom but i couldn't get on your game something about not being able to join this activity,

I did a bit of research into the class types and started this again as a hunter, straight away I was having a lot more fun and i levelled up a lot quicker too, I think my issue was i didn't "GO BACK TO THE TOWER", and if i had I would have found that i could double the amount of damage my gun dose and double the protection my armour gave me, making the levels a lot less of a slog. The hunter is a lot more fun to play the sniper is very cool as is his knife and golden gun perk.

i got as far as the moon level and even did a few pvp level's its nice to see that you can level your player up in pvp and it carry s across to the main game though if you where to play a lot of pvp you could find yourself a bit overpowered for the campaign.

pay enough attnetion to the upgrades and had a gun as a warlock that did 20 damage even early on if you dont keep on top of your equipment your in for a slog on the levels, eraly evening and chose the

Yep, the Strikes/Events are easily the best thing about the game. Up to level 16 now and things are opening out quite nicely after completing the Earth, Moon, and Venus strikes with strangers. At first they seem impossible but after a couple of failures you get the gist of them. Around level 14 a Strike Playlist appeared on the main map. I'm pretty sure that's where I'll be spending most of my time. They can be really seriously hectic and tense, with a huge sense of achievement when you complete them. One really big flaw I noticed earlier - when you complete a Story mission, it doesn't record what difficulty you've done it on, which makes the prospect of replaying them significantly less appealing. I'm sure it wouldnt have been difficult to change the colour of the icon depending on the difficulty you've done it on.

Yeah that was me, Fishy. It's great - as you say - when the game makes everything click like that by pulling people into cooperative play. Same with the Strike missions. For the most part, though, people seem content to bumble along solo. I've set my fireteam setting to 'public' so anyone can jump in anytime but no-one ever has. And people usually don't respond to the fiddly request to join when you invite as it takes everyone out of the game.

Also agree with CapcomSuicide's points although I'm a bit less forgiving of the PvP. I'm embarrasingly bad and can't hit a barn door in Clash (i.e., Team Deathmatch) for some reason, but I'm better in Control (i.e. Domination) and find that really enjoyable. Haven't encountered the moon map that was in the beta, though, which was my favourite. Is it in the rotation? By the way, the extra/exclusive PS3/4-only map, Chronos Blue or something, is an awful, incoherent confection of leftover bits and pieces, so Xboxers need not feel cheated on that score.

Ha, bungie practically invented the icons for each difficulty setting completed on, im sure someone did it first but it wasn't until halo's legendary setting you really noticed it in games, ironic they left it out.

@golgo, i just love the hunters throwing knife, a vandal snuck up behind you on the event, you had no shield and i had no ammo, so i tossed the throwing knife from the other side of the area and hit him square in the eyes, its the little moments of coop in this that make it really great .

Also when you change your fire team to open, ive noticed that it reverts to friends only again on booting the game back up, very frustrating.

This wasn't happening in an early party chat I was having - does Destiny use it's own voice comms system?
Voice is one area I've not had problems, apart from the balancing issue. I'm using a Jabra USB mic/headset combo, and have the PS4 open to all internet traffic. My issue is that I can't hear people when the music is playing...grrrrrr

Yeah, really annoying the voice sound level thing. Maybe they should spend another million and sort it out.

This review confirms all my worst fears. http://nzgamer.com/reviews/2130/destiny.html

I just hope he didn't play enough of the game, and it opens up more than his few days of reviewing could give.

                  ... fingers crossed!

The days of fps like halo: CE, halo 2 for multiplayer, half life 2 coming out and changing the way we look at an fps are well gone.

Though I would say people are so concerned with review scores and others opinion their forgetting to enjoy what's actually good about the game, and it is a good game. You've paid your money already, might as well enjoy it

I agree with that review. 7/10 sounds about as generous as you could be. Anyway I'm enjoying it and expect I will for a couple of weeks more.

                      Just did the

Sword of Charon/Kill the Pive Princes

level on the moon. Is it just me or were they going for a sly Dark/Demons Souls vibe

with the sword controls, aminations and general atmosphere

of that boss battle? Made me chuckle, anyway.

Any reviews at this stage are pretty worthless. It's too soon to rate the pvp, let alone the pve side of things. I think Destiny is pretty fun, if a little underwhelming after Halo, and it seems quite obvious that what we have now is the foundation of a much bigger project. There are scores of online games that have started this way - feeling thread bare at the start before game types and content gets bolted on from all angles. The test will be in how quickly Bungie can fill the game out and whether people stick around to find out. It will be interesting to see what Destiny is like in a few years from now - it should be a whole different beast.

I remember on the beta that I got my backside tossed around like a dead but fun carcass in PvP matches. Has this changed in the full game? lol

I am on the PS4 version.

Its really disappointing as I had much fun in the beta where it was full of life in the tower and I met random people in game while exploring around in Russia. But no matter what I try I cannot find a single person .

And the game is not the best fun in single player.

I wouldn't be surprised if they added cooking. mmo staple that.
